Acceptance Packages

Nevermind! I signed in and under the UPS My Choice planner it said that it was from Exeter!!

I clicked around the UPS site. Apparently I didn’t fill out ALL the information. It DID say who was sending the package! It’s his #1 CHOICE! I’m I not going to tell him.

Congrats! We got the UPS from Exeter too.

Also, we see Deerfield and Hotchkiss packages coming via USPS on the Informed Delivery website.

Good luck everyone!!

Nice job! USPS Informed Delivery won’t let me confirm my identity lol

I have nothing on UPS. Very sad.

?

Don’t read too much into the UPS notifications. Our family has an account and last year we did not get a package notification. That seemed like a bad sign we worried too much about based on last year’s thread. In the end, a package arrived for acceptance. So don’t over think it!

Also! My son was waitlisted at a competitive school at 8am and there was silence from his #1 choice. We were certain that meant another rejection. It was 45 min later when the good news came through. So don’t expect 8 or 9am sharp.

Good luck.

I suppose a Fedex/UPS delivery tomorrow means acceptance, correct?

I didn’t sign up because it would just stress me out more

Anybody get a FedEx notification from Andover?

@PrepDad2018 glad you said that! I feel the tension rising.

@misslilbookworm I didn’t sign up either… I think it might have been a glitch in the system or it was because I had notifications on from UPS previously for other packages

I heard Andover does USPS…

SwamiJr has a package coming from Manchester, NH. Not sure if that is SPS or Exeter. Would a school possibly send a rejection via UPS?

We told him about it. (He does not always focus on “unknown” email). Now he wants to sleep in our bed. He hasn’t done that since he was 5. As the kids say, “ish is getting real.”

I’m not finding any tracking info for any of our schools! It’s making me nervous! Can they ship priority mail without tracking?

I don’t know of any school that sends rejections via UPS. It seems that early congrats are in order!!

Kent sent a USPS package that arrived Wednesday (2 days before decision date), Gilmour, Lake Forest acceptance letters also arrived by USPS. We are not signed up for any tracking and I would’t read anything into not receiving tracking info. A school has to use UPS, Fedex and they have to provide recipient email address for you to receive tracking unless of course the applicant is signed up with UPS / Fedex to receive notification anytime they are receiving a package.

I don’t think schools would ship rejections via UPS because delivering via USPS would be a lot less expensive. I assume rejection letters are just that–letters. I would think most schools using UPS/FedEx/USPS flat rate packages are doing so because they’re shipping things (swag) along with acceptance letters and that requires something other than a standard US letter envelope. We received an acceptance today via email but yesterday the school’s instagram account shared a photo of decorated, stuffed flat-rate USPS envelopes that said something to the effect of “getting ready to send these out to our accepted students.”

Good luck to everyone waiting for news! I hope everyone has something to celebrate tomorrow (or Sunday or Monday)!

my son just got accepted to Taft & Pennington

CONGRATS @harlemgirl121 !

@Totorocinnamon03 Thank you!!! Did any of yours come in yet?
