Micro - Macroeconomics, Financial, Managerial Accounting, BLAW, Math and do you have all IGETC requirements fulfilled if not what are you missing in your application ?</p>

<p>Okay, do you know any reason why it could be that you were waitlisted. I am a transfer business administration major too waiting for an answer. I missed to put Macroeconomics as planned course in my aplpication which I’m finishing this semester and I think that will be critical for my admission consideration and I fear rejection.</p>
<p>given what i understand about the application process its simple really. </p>
<p>They had only ‘X’ number of spots available/predicated available this coming fall quarter. According to their computer formula which objectively ranks every applicant I must have not been a good enough applicant to grab one of those available spots. Which says to me that competition is incredible this year. However I am no expert, I just am basing this off of what I see at my local college in terms of GPA and how I rank against my peers. </p>
<p>As for you; Yea in all honestly Macro Econ was one of those courses that it says you “must” have in order to be even considered as an applicant. Now are you saying you havent taken it? or that you just forgot it on your app? Because if its the latter than I would advise you contacting Admissions ASAP so they can reconsider you or something.</p>
<p>Okay sounds like a pretty good analysis of the admissions process. I am taking Macroeconomics this semester but it was accidently not included in my planned courses and instead a Intro to Etchis were recorded as a planned course which I’m not taking since I’ve already fulfilled that area of IGETC. In General I’m an internationnal student with a 4.0 from community college, leadership position in business club e.t.c and I’m still waiting for a decision. Changes had a deadline on 15th of January but I still sent admissions an e-mail. I did the same error with SDSU but I’ve already been admitted so I hope I still have a chance since cal poly would be my first choice.</p>
<p>wow ashe140, you’re stats are pretty legit. shocked i didn’t get it, let alone you not getting in. the weird part is, i know 2 people, both business admin majors, with a 3.3 and 3.4 GPA respectively whom were both accepted. can’t figure out what the heck that is all about.</p>
<p>Is that weighted or unweighted? Average for business admin is 3.9~ CSU weighted…</p>

<p>For people who haven’t found out about being accepted/denied, does your portal say, “Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time”? I applied on the last day possible, so is it possible mine is still going through the system?</p>

<p>@ SBCC90: They do save most rejections for last, though someone posted in the “Computer Engineer acceptances/rejections” thread that someone in the admissions office did say they have sent out a few rejections. The lady also apparently said that they plan to finish with acceptances this week, so if she was correct, I guess people who still have a “no determination” status will probably not have to wait much longer to get a decision.</p>

<p>As to the odds of coming off of the waitlist: poor. Cal poly publishes stats on their freshman waitlist and for 2011 they had something like 300 people on the waitlist and they took off around 60 or so i want to say. I am off but not by much. If you want to find it google cal polys “common data set”</p>
<p>EDIT: i had downloaded it and just looked it up. 649 waitlist. 49 accepted off of it. so its like what 8%? waitlist is also ranked.</p>
<p>I cant wait until July so I accepted SDSU for Business Admin.</p>
