My major is classified as "undeclared/pre- business administration, the reason being that you cannot get into the Haas School of Business your freshman year, you have to transfer into Haas your junior year...

Is this a hard major to get accepted to as a freshman? Or is it less competitive compared to other majors at UC Berkeley

It doesn’t really matter if you put pre-biz because all majors/undeclared in letters and science are considered equally in admissions into the college. You’re technically not in a major, so you’re going to just be evaluated against other peers that apply, so I wouldn’t say its not competitive (it’s still Berkeley), but its not gonna be as competitive as if you applied for college of engineering.
.
For Haas, it’s more like a college application all over again. During your sophomore year, you would have to apply through a online application, write two essays, and submit things like your grades, extracurricular activities, and etc.
