Anyone know what this year's acceptance rate was for NYU?

From what I’ve seen, the acceptance rate was around 38% this year.

I always thought NYU was extremely selective. I guess they’re really not…?

I think it varies, haha. Depends on the class. As far as admission rates go, one of their lowest percentages was around 24% in 2008. This is just an average rate of the entire college, though. If they received a large amount of competitive applicants this year, the acceptance rate will be lower.

the university has an overall acceptance rate of 32%. keep in mind that the acceptance rate varies from school to school within the university; tisch is different from gallatin is different from stern is different from cas, etc.; some are more selective, some are less, etc., making the actual admittance rate of the university relatively insignificant and irrelevant, since it is such a big and diverse school.

The University-wide acceptance rate is just above 30%.

The acceptance rate for CAS and Stern are usually between 20%-25%.

Anyone know the acceptance rate for each school this year?

I thought CAS was higher? Stern and Tisch are usually the lowest… i’ve always heard they’re below 20%

Its hocus pocus if they dont include the LSP admits.

According to BusinessWeek the acceptance rate for Stern was 15%
