Hey I don’t know if anyone noticed, but CPP’s accpetance rate is now like 39.9%? When I checked back in December / January it was like 51.1%. Does anyone know why? Plus that acceptance rate isn’t too far off towards Cal Poly SLO’s acceptance rate of 30.9% but it’s still near it.
Probably because of a higher yield of applicants and lower acceptances.
See my earlier post “latest admissions stats”

It’s as simple as increasing demand for unique majors at a lower cost than UCs and privates.
If I remember it correctly, the 51.1% you on google/ US news was the admission stat. form few years ago. And for sure they are pretty slow in updating these information because CPP isn’t a “Major School” they concern unfortunately. Don’t forget that CPP is getting more competitive.
