acceptance rate?

does anyone know Pomona's acceptance rate for the class of 2013?

Its acceptance rate for the class of 2012 wasn't even published until like 2 months ago

I heard somewhere that it's thier lowest ever, around 16%

i know that for fall 2008 acceptances it was 15.6% ...im expecting a wee bit lower for this year. but about 16% still.

The letter in the housing packet (yay!) said there were 6100+ applications (not clear whether this was just the RD pool or not).

Idk what number they accepted last year, but I'm guessing it will be roughly the same this year so we can use that to figure out the rate.

well in the rejection letter, they said that they only accepted 390 out of 6100+
If you do the math that's like 6%...

oh then forget this.

The didn't accept 390. 390 is how many they expect to matriculate, and not everyone is going to enroll. They accept more than 390 so they will have a yield of 390 students

anyone know the number of total apps in 2008 or in 2007?

2007-2008 data
Admissions
Applicants: 5,908
Admitted: 964
Acceptance rate: 16.3%
Yield rate: 38.9%

The admitted student profile for this year:
Application Numbers: 6,149
Class Target Size: 390
Admit Rate: 15.7%

Mind linking up a source, kneeowe?

kneeowe’s numbers suggest a yield of 40.4%, a slight rise above the figure provided by orygunmum.

A rise in yield would be impressive this year (although certainly possible with greater use of ED).

I think kneeowe’s data comes from the accepted students site.

Thank you, frogger.

If those figures include all ED & RD rounds for this year, last year’s yield rate would produce approximately 15 openings for waitlisted students.

Yea, that is from the accepted students website. There is a pdf which gives a whole page of data on the accepted class.
