Acceptance rates!!!

I think this has already been posted somewhere in another thread, but I can't seem to find it...

Has anyone heard anything about the acceptance rate for SCEA this year? Did it go up, down, stay the same...have they released the info yet?

THIS year?? they're not done yet!

i know, :) but someone wrote that they release predicted acceptance reports or something...

Yeah, hopefully they will release them soon. I'm really curious too! Any ideas on how many people applied EA?

i bet over 12000, only 1200 is going to get in, so that's about 10%, pretty good i'd say

i thought last year it was a 24 percent EA accept rate

That's right pman. And usually about 4500 ppl apply EA.

lol NO WAY 12000 people applied, and the acceptance rate has been around 20% for a while

alright lets set this straight, off of stanfords web site, about 19000 people applied total. 2400 were accepted. Thats like a 12-13 percent acceptance rate altogether. last year, about 4200 people applied EA and about 800 were accepted, for an admit rate of 20 percent. The year before last stanford had less ED apps and a higher accept rate (24 %). I dont know where paulhomework is getting his 12000 figure from.

12,000 is way, way too high. Last year's number was actually closer to 4,100. I've posted this somewhere else before, but this year should be around 4,400. This should ding the acceptance rate a tad, but not too much. Assume they accept 800 early, like last year, the rate becomes 18.2% from 19.5% last year.
