Hello!
I was wondering if anyone has heard back yet? I know that the official date is april 1st, but I've heard people have already gotten responses!

I haven’t heard yet, I applied for transfer admission January 10th.

me either! another question, are you transferring as a sophomore or junior? because they keep asking me for my spring 13 grades but since spring just started they won’t see that till may…

I’ll be transferring as a junior, I’m going to finish my associate’s this Summer. They haven’t asked to see my Spring grades, I don’t know if that’s good or bad…

Hello fellow transfers!

I was wondering if any of you lovely people have received a decision by Mason yet? I have yet to see a response! Considering I already have 50 credits, I was surprised to see that they wanted me to send a high school transcript from a high school I attended way back when I was a freshman. No - not even the high school that I graduated from… weird. I thought once you’ve exceded 45 credits or something that your high school transcripts aren’t even necessary anymore.
Anyone applying under GAA? I applied under regular transfer, thinking I didn’t qualify to apply under GAA until recently that I found out that I did follow all the requirements! Do you think I can change my status to GAA? The only downside is that they wait until they see your spring grades, from what I hear. I don’t think I can wait that long for a decision. -_-

Wait what’s a GAA? and are you sure? They also mentioned to me that they would sometimes ask people for their HS grades regardless if you have enough credits or not but that’s interesting that they asked for grades at a school you didn’t even graduate from.

If you go to a Virginia community college there are “Guaranteed Admission Agreements” between them and most of the colleges in the state.

How did they contact you guys, by email or regular mail? I still haven’t heard anything from them…

I contacted them through regular mail! and MissHopeful I would call admissions to see if they can switch if you decide too, do you personally think you’ll have a better chance with what you’ve already submitted? then I wouldn’t switch to GAA

I applied RD and got accepted! Got the mail today.

congrats Abdu07! was it around this time you would have heard back?

@nan1013 Personally I was surprised that I heard back this early, but people told me they contact top applicants early. Now I’m waiting for JMU and Vtech! Good Luck!

got my acceptance letter today applied on the 13th application wasn’t complete till the 18th… I’m surprised heard back within ten days

@bullahboy are you a transfer applicant or regular?

transfer from VCU

also question! so after I emailed them saying my spring grades wouldn’t be out till may, they’re like okay we only need them if you’re on the fence, a week or two later it said my status was complete… anyone else have the same thing happen?

I applied in January for regular admissions and I’m still waiting to hear back (it’s March). Congrats on getting accepted so fast! I applied to GMU and VCU, and hope I hear back soon. The wait is nerve wracking!

ahh I applied to VCU as well! I won’t hear back from GMU apparently now till may because they won’t consider me till they have my spring grades but good luck!!

I applied to GMU, VCU, and JMU in the March deadline and haven’t heard back yet. When I called them to ask when they would be sending out decisions, GMU told me they already mailed it out on April 1st. So I asked them if I don’t receive anything in the mail by the end of the week does that mean they are waiting for my spring grades, and they told me most likely yes. I checked the mail again today and nothing was in there for me. I have a 2.5 GPA which is really low but if I maintain my spring grades then I will have a 3.1. I highly doubt I will get in… But I’m still hoping for the best!

Did you get in @Osk1991? For George Mason? How long did it takes for you to get the mail?
