does anyone know when roosevelt mails out their acceptance/rejection letters?

Roosevelt makes decisions the second week of March. Letter should be received third or fourth week.

cant wait to anticipate that....

I got my letter today.... Accepted... I'm trying to find anyone else who's been accepted.

My D was accepted, she received her letter yesterday.

Congrats to your D, momoffaith. The D of a friend of mine is just finishing her freshmen year at Roosevelt and loves it.

Thanks...my D is very excited to have been accepted there.

My D got a poster in the mail for Vivid '07 at Roosevelt today, but no letter yet one way or the other. Is that weird? One of her friends got his acceptance letter Saturday.

Gosh, i hope they aren't sending out posters in the mail as consolation prizes. That would totally suck.

My D got her acceptance letter today! She received the Vivid 07 poster on Saturday 3/24. She is so excited about this accpetance, she loved everything about her audition day experience and CCPA quickly rose to the top of her college wish list.
Good luck everyone.

for Acting. Yeee Haaa! Roosevelt rocks!

Hey! I'm a current freshman at Roosevelt (we all call it CCPA, mostly!) If you have any questions, please e-mail me!!! JordanTudor at aol dot com

Raykon -
My D was just looking at the RU message board and we saw your picture there! Congrats on your acceptance. My D is planning on posting (getting to know others) on the CCPA page when she receives a password.

My D got her acceptance letter yesterday for MT! She is very excited and wants to hear from others in the class of 2011. E-mail her at broadwaykris1107@yahoo.com. She also wants to know who has facebook.

We are totally impressed with CCPA. We have another daughter who is a MT major at Roosevelt and she LOVES it.

It won't be nearly as hard sending our youngest to college since we know what to expect from Roosevelt.

Good luck to all!

Hi Everyone!

You can also find me on facebook and myspace.

Well... I'm the letterless daughter of ImpQueen, and boy do I have a story for you!

After my letter didn't come, I called Sheryl Sutton and left her a very polite voicemail wondering when I would recieve my letter. So she she called me back an hour later only to say that she was confused because I was supposedly a no-show for my audition.... except I wasn't. Apparently my papers got mixed up! So she told me she'd call me back when everything was straightened out. Today my mom got a call from someone who seemed to be from the legal department congratulating me on being wait-listed because, even though they'd found my paperwork and my audition score was through the roof, they've already compiled their freshman class and given out all their scholarships.

Needless to say, I'm not the happiest girl in the world, but I'm trying to remember that everything happens for a reason and that I will simply have to work hard, stay optimistic, and audition again next year.

Fun.

MissM, sorry to hear about your mix up. Hopefully things will work out for you! My daughter still hasn't received a letter from Roosevelt yet. It just says letters are being mailed out when we check her application status.

MissM, that is incredible and not good. I'm sorry to hear this. You said you have to audition next year but I have read on the acceptance thread that you are admitted to NYU/Tisch. Might you be able to attend there?

MissM, wow, that is quite scary. It seems wrong that you should be penalized (a la financial aid, etc.) based on the school's mix up. Is there any remedy here?

Thanks for your support, but as far as I know, nothing can really be done other than being placed on the top of the wait list. And yes, I was accepted into Tisch, but my financial aid package was absolutely dreadful, so I'll be attending William Woods University on a full ride theatre scholarship until I can transfer to somewhere a bit more reputable.

And Alismom, I recommend calling Ms. Sutton as soon as possible to get this cleared up. Hopefully something similar hasn't happened to your D!

MissM i am truly sorry about your mix up! i think its awful and if i were in the position i would be very upset. you are taking it with great maturity! I will say though, you want to talk to sean if you are going to talk to anyone! Sheryl is great but she really doesnt have quite the weight that sean has. i hope it all works out and you end up comingo our way. Its always good to email sean from time to time though and show how interested you are and show your positive attitude! best of luck where you land!
