Acceptance Rescinded?

I recently got accepted to the UW as a sophomore in community college. I was admitted with 45 transferable credits. Currently I am taking Physics 121, Calculus II, and Multi-Cultural Studies. When I applied I had a 3.41 GPA, but I am currently at risk of getting under a 2.0 in my math class(classes will not transfer for credit if grade is not 2.0). Currently I have a 1.7 in Calculus II. I am doing great in my culture class and average in Physics (hopefully a 3.0 but possibly lower). I am worried I will get my acceptance revoked because I may not get a 2.0 in calculus II. Should I be worried (especially if I don’t get a 2.0)? I feel like I got into the UW because I had a big change from my high school grades compared to my current grades. Went from a 2.3gpa in high school to a 3.41. I don’t want them to think I am back to my old ways. A 1.7 gpa at my community college is a 72%, its not like im ditching class??

thanks

Yeah, you might get rescinded bro. You had better get that effing grade up. Ask your professor if you can do anything else to get better. Calculus II wasn’t that hard man, do cram sessions.

I do not think they will rescind you. I did a lot of research on this last year for one of my son’s friends. He was getting a bad grade in pre-calculus. He simply called the admission office and spoke to an admission counselor about his concerns and she assured him he would not be rescinded.

was he in community college or high school? and did he end up getting above or below a 2.0?

thanks for your time!

Running Start at a local community college. He actually failed the course but retook it and replaced the grade with a B in Spring Quarter.

alright thanks for replying. I really hope I can get a 2.0 though. So he retook it in the spring at UW right?

I hope to see you on campus man!! Best of luck to you.

No, he retook it spring at the community college and started U.W. Fall 2011.

I would really recommend calling an admission counselor with your concerns. It will show you are being pro active and probably relieve your concerns.

Unless you have Calc II as a general education requirement and it’s something you HAVE to take or else they can’t admit you, I wouldn’t worry about it.
