Hi guys,

Assuming that an applicant gets accepted to universities and colleges (top 20 schools), is it possible for their acceptances to be revoked due to a sub par spring semester performance? If so, what grades are usually acceptable in the end? A's and B's?

Thanks.

Acceptances maybe revoked if the applicant tends to slack off on courses that are prereqs by receiving either from C's to F's. A's and B's are fine but to go lower than a B is very bad even if the course is not a prereq. Jeoperdizing admission by slacking off is much of a risk and can show the admissions that you are not taking things too seriously.

Would this apply even with Ivy league admissions?

if you start getting cs and ds, they'll send you a letter asking you to explain and reminding you to get your act together.

getting a c once won't get you rescinded.

I'm really worried about this as well! All parts of my application are not that bad, I may have a shot at where I'm applying, but there's a course I MAY get a D in! My GPA for this semester would be 3.4-3.5 factoring in a D or a failed course and I'm taking quite a challenging courseload. Just PRESUMING the rest of my application is quite strong, will one D kill me?
