Here's last year's rescind threat. I mean thread.

oh wow that's nerve racking. I'm freaking out.

I got a letter when all my grades were surely C+s and below. The letter read something like "we expected higher from you and now you need to schedule an appointment with a counselor" blah blah I never did any of that and did just fine. Just get good grades and get out of senior habits (although the same thing is possible here as well).

I got a letter requesting an explanation for my awful grades on 8 July, and I immediately sent one in response. My school has also attached a few letters supporting my place in the incoming freshman class as well.

Since I said my grades were in appeal back then, (my final transcript grades are grades obtained in a public exam quite like the UK A-levels) one of the officers asked me to inform them of any possible new grades. But I didn’t receive anything from the admission office apart from that. Today I got my results of the appeal - the problem is, I have to pay a deposit in order to secure a place in a local university by tomorrow. (or else I won’t have any college to go to!) So is Tufts taking me in?

Anyway I got a couple of mailings from Tufts since 8 July, including my Visa and advising programs.

Can anybody give me some advice? Thanks.

I am quite sure that Tufts is taking you in. It doesn’t sound like they ever said they were withdrawing their offer; they simply asked you to explain the grades. Contact them with a note or call saying that you are assuming that’s the case but would like confirmation. Maybe a call if you’re worried about making another decision today.

Thanks Seashore. I’ve received a letter from Tufts saying that I’m still staying in the incoming freshman class. Excited to go to Tufts in the fall!

Good news! Thanks for letting us know.
