Acceptance Surprise!!

Did anyone else wake up this morning to an advance notice acceptance??

Was this an email?

Or was it a letter?

e-mail. I wasn’t expecting any notification until April 1st!

Congratulations! :)

Was this a straight-up acceptance letter?

Or one of those “invitations” that got sent out this time a year ago?

straight up acceptance, “hearty congratulations” and all.

eac0420–Congratulations. Which school were you accepted to?

Yes, got the same email

I got the email too! Does it mean anything special? I applied to the Core Liberal Studies and thought they just wanted to let people do their site selection.

Is this all for Liberal Studies?

Congrats guys i applied to stern i hope i get mine soon too!!
anyone got accepted to Stern??
any internationals?

I just got the email too!!! I’m so excited! :))

@indy42,
I got in for Liberal Studies…

I applied to the College of Arts and Sciences, but my email said I wasn’t considered for it and instead accepted into the Core Program. What does that mean? Two of my friends got the same email. I’m still really excited! I can’t believe I got in to begin with!

@IJustWantIn,
From what I have read it’s a two-year program (that tends to accept students with lower GPAs but high SAT/ACT scores) in liberal studies with a core curriculum and, when you complete the program, you immediately go into one of NYU’s college so you would go to CAS and continue your degree path for whatever major you choose.
You also get the opportunity to study abroad as a freshman. :slight_smile:
(There’s a HUGE thread about it somewhere in the NYU section if you search around a bit, you’ll find it [I’m too lazy to find the link sorry :p, senioritis…])

Is this the same as getting LSP’d?

I know in previous years people only got into LSP if they were not directly accepted into their first choice school. I think the program has changed slightly. This year I applied to the Core Program because I’m undecided and I want a solid liberal arts foundation for whatever. Plus, first year in London? Yes please!

Anyone got into stern?

Any internationals??

I just got in too! The Core Liberal Studies program sent me the e-mail this morning :slight_smile: So exciting!

What sites are people selecting? I’m not sure I’ll be going to NYU, I need to wait for my other decisions. But a year in London is extremely tempting :)
