Acceptance taken back?

So I was accepted to New Brunswick Rutgers. But one thing that concerns me is that on the SARS (self assessed report) when I was putting the grades in I combined the semester grades and made them into one so they will fit. I added B+ and A- into A- in some cases and I added A and B+ into A-, A- and A into A and so forth. Am I going to get my acceptance letter taken away because I did this? because for some subjects I was sure I got high As which combined with B+ will turn into A- but I'm not sure if the school will understand please HELP!

You shouldn’t be adding grade to your final year section, they all should be indicated In Progress status, because you still haven’t finished them.

thank you for the reply but that wasnt entirely what I meant.
Applying to Rutgers, I did my SARS. And on THAT SARS i I added B+ and A- into A- in some cases and I added A and B+ into A-, A- and A into A and so forth. and i got accepted with the grades I put down this way. So Im asking once they get my final transcript, am i going to get my acceptance taken away?

Sorry, i’m not understanding your situation clearly. I don’t know what exactly you did, but here is the bottom line:

You are going to have to explain to Rutgers admission people why your final transcript doesn’t match your SRAR, and why you altered the grades the way you did, otherwise, they are going to view it as a dishonesty on your behalf.

You should immediately contact them. If possible, personally meet with a counselor to explain your situation. Because, unless you specified that you added the grades on the SARS, Rutgers have no idea what you did. They gave you admission thinking that you were straight A student while you got couple of B’s in some semesters.

And grades from which two semester’s did you added? Were they from junior or senior year?

I don’t think you have anything to worry about; the committee will just assume that your grades went down after mid-year, but I cannot imagine an acceptance being rescinded for Bs!

yea I think on the day of the Placement test I might meet my counselor if i can.
collegebiomed- Yea im probably going to talk to them. umm well on the SRAR they only give u one space for each course’s grade (which i assumed was the yearly grade) so I just added the 2 semester grades for that course. For Ex: Precalculus H I got A- (1st semester), and B+ (2nd semester) so I put down A- for my grade on the SRAR (since I was only given one space, I added the 2 grades). Some grades I didnt touch if I got a C 1st semester and another C the 2nd semester, I would put down C. I wasnt trying to be dishonest. It was just that I thought A- (92)+ B+ (88) would obviously result in an A-. So thats the reason for what i did there. is this rlly serious?

travelbug- I dont think u understand my situation lol I added 2 semester grades in freshman to senior to create 1 yearly grade by myself. so some courses might end up being A- yearly, when I actually got B+. So its not a big difference. It was just my approximated addition. is this completely serious?

also 1 more question to everybody: how do i figure out who to talk to (which counselor do I have to talk to?)

I would call the department in which you are majoring and tell them that you want to meet someone in the admission’s office. They will direct you to the right person.

And I would suggest you contact them immediately because this is what it says on SRAR:

“Enter your final course grades exactly as they appear on your transcript or final year grade report. DO NOT ESTIMATE OR ROUND ANY GRADE”

This is what you were supposed to do. Suppose you took Biology during your junior year. Then, you would enter Biology twice in junior year. The first slot would be “Science, Honors, Biology, B+, Semester (1/2).” The second would be “Science, Honors, Biology, A-, Semester (1/2).”

You were supposed to enter everything twice rather than taking an average. Contact them as soon as possible and do take your transcript with you during the appointment.

i have no idea how to do that because (this is my poor excuse :frowning: ) I am an incoming freshman and I didnt choose a specific major yet. I got into the school of business (RBS) so… who should I call do u know?
