...:shakes head:. A year from now you might find yourself disgusted at how much of time you wasted on this site. Time that a) you'll never get back, and b) you could've spent having some serious fun. You've now entered the EASIEST semester of your academic career. Pretend you're actually still in high school, and forget about the college b.s. for the next few months; aside from admissions offers, this'll be the most fun time of your stay in high school.

This forum is to help those curious about the admission process, not for those who are paranoid/obsessed over the admission process...

Im obsessed and this semester so far is a blast.
Last semester I had hell (Japanese 3, AP govt, AP stats, AP lang) and now I have off period first, Teachers Aid, Honors Chem, Honors Japanese.
I have little enough homework to finish it at school during my TA period, and enjoy my days after school doing whatever I want. So yes I am obsessed, but I am having a great time.

I think that just means I need to graduate, send APs, and an official Midterm (i had an unnoficial faxed from my counselor with a note because my school will not have them ready to send until this friday...I did send a transcript (official) in december tho with all grades b4 the midterm.

My Stats: May give hope to some with lower than average GPA

9-12uw-3.41 w-3.61
10-12uw-3.5 w.3.79
Rank: barely top 30%
Test scores
ACT-30

I think the reason why they probably looked at my application and accepted me (since my ACT is about average and GPA is low) is probably because my sophomore and freshman year sucked but the rest was stellar. Last year I had a 3.75uw, 4.15w, and this year so far I have a 3.75uw and a 4.5w. So my grades had a huge jump after sophomore year.
I do go to a very good Norther California Public school if that matters much.

I also visited McGill and they have that in record i assume.

OMG CONGRATS!!! I'm soo jealous. That's amazing!! (What were your SATs?)

Yeah I don't understand the difference b/w stuff. I guess further review required means they're missing your grades, but I have reviewed and I haven't sent my grades in yet. >.<

No i didnt send SATs. I just sent the ACT instead of SAT1s and 2s.
Although i think you need SAT2s or whatever depending on what faculty u apply to, but i know you don't 4 arts which is what i applied for.

Im glad i didnt sent my sats though cause they were not good. 720m, 600v, 580wr... which is definitely low for McGill standards. Sat 2s really sucks though. 540US and 630 math2c.

If it wasnt for being able to send only ACT instead there would be no way i would get in.

When i checked today around noon i was at further review required (i was at further review required for a week because i didnt have midterms in) i was irritated cause nothing had changed, but then i checked around 1:30ish and it said accepted.

Also, a reccomendation for everyone hasnt gotten midterms in yet, i reccomend sending them by fax. That is what i did on friday (had my school send them of course). My counselor did send a note with it too though saying that they were my official midterm grades, but he was unable to fax an official transcript (the one he sent was unnoficial) because my school will not have official ones till midterm report cards come out this friday.

Now I think i just have to send an official in so they can document it.

I dunno if faxing will work for everyone tho because with me at least, they did have an official report card with my first semester grades on it (my school is 4 semesters per year), so they at least knew that some of my grades were 100% true.
