Acceptance thread for 2010 class

<p>ThreeKids, Congratulations! What were your daughter's stats? Which Newhouse Program did she select?</p>

<p>ky, yeah I was rd and I got a packet in the mail today</p>

<p>Does anyone know about the Department of Communications and Rhetoric Studies? I got accepted by email this morning.</p>

<p>I got accepted via E-mail this AM for Newhouse too. Yes, I am international too. But, the letter did not say anything about merit aid or any financial aid stuff. Did any of you get E-mails that included or at least mentioned financial aid or merit scholarships? The E-mail was the standard acceptance letter that you click on and there it is.</p>

SAT: 1360 (2090), uw GPA 3.6 something, very nice ec's, recs and essays. Most of her ec's involved writing, along with the usual community service (tutoring), honor council, honor societies, and we submitted her newspaper articles (community columnist for our city newspaper).</p>

<p>I was told several weeks ago that i was being accepted, but got my "official" letter today by email!</p>

<p>My daughter just got an email accepting her to the school of art. Her stats are as follows.</p>

<p>1 Your major: Communication Design
2. Your SATS or ACT 1810 (640 M and 570 V, 600 writing)
3. Your unweighted and weighted GPA 3.48 unweighted GPA, 3.95 weighted
4. Class rank Top 40%
5 Where you are from Maryland
6. You two most prominent ECs. Strong portfolio and Very good grades in pre-college and college courses plus strong music extra curricular activities
7. Some info about yourself, what you like to do, dislikes etc.
8. Whether you will probably be attending Syracuse. Despends on money offered and where else gets accepted. However, unless there is a lot of merit money offered, probably won't be attending.</p>

<p>I just received my email acceptance today! I got into the school of Human Services and Health Sciences. I'm planning to major in psychology.</p>

<p>if u didn't get an email it doesn't mean you weren't accepted. I got it at 8:30AM this morning. It will tell you either way because the subject line was a very formal. It just said, " Syracuse admission notification." Then you had to click on a link which was just a copy of the letter you will be sent later in the mail.</p>
