Are you absolutey sure it doesn't mean you weren't accepted, or is that just your own interpretation of the subject line? Have you heard from someone who received an email that they got rejected?

See you all there.

I'm from California, as well, enchanted2. So no, you aren't alone on here.

I don't know what they're going to decided on me, because up until 3/4 days ago, Syracuse had my application screwed up. I had sent them my SAT score last December, and they "lost" it until I called last Monday morning and said, out of nine schools... only you didn't recieve it? ARE YOU KIDDING?! Suddenly they found it. Apparently, they had had it SINCE DECEMBER.

My sats aren't bad - 3.3 GPA with a 1830 SAT, EXCELLENT recs, 2 year editorship of my HS newspaper, top CA public school... and I applied to Newhouse.

It's just all up in the air right now. But I'm a little concerned, what with my "lower" sats, that this late in the decision process, they had probably just automatically rejected me.. =(. I'm pretty scared. I don't know, we'll see.

But congradulations to everyone who got in!

i don't know for SURE the acceptance fate about the people who did not recieve an email, that was just my interpretation of the subject line. I applied to the School of Human Services and Health studies.

fiercekitten712....i got lower SATs than you and I got in....i doubt that's the biggest factor, i wouldn't worry

My D hasn't gotten an email yet either. She has a 1410/2150, 3.7 GPA, good EC's and excellent reccomendations. She applied to Newhouse.
You all have very good stats, I wouldn't worry, they probably send the notices out in waves.

I'm from CA and I got my acceptance early in the morning. I wouldn't worry yet though, I wasn't accepted to Cal Poly Slo until like 2 weeks ago and I sent my application in as soon as it became available online in October(they have rolling admissions so I expected to hear sooner). Big schools tend to have communication issues. Good Luck!

6. Hmm...
7. Im Asian...whatever value that holds
8. Not fond of the cold weather, but I'll give Syracuse a 40% chance

Anybody else get a phone call then an email?

1 Accepted into Whitman, Rejected from Newhouse
2. 2030
3. B+/A- average (have taken AP's)

7. I am extremely passionate about communications (television, film, and journalism too) and business, and I made it clear in my application.
8. Even though I am disappointed that I did not get into Newhouse, I probably will end up at Syracuse.

I am the brother of a current Syracuse student, as well as the son of a graduate. I applied ED I. I have no idea how they do this whole admission thing LOL.

Accepted to A+S. Plan on majoring in American History
Top 5% of class
96.6/100 (APs weighted)

Well-rounded and recs and essays were fine

It's the only college I've heard back from so I like Syracuse a whole lot right now! I'm psyched to know I'm going to college! Whoohoo!

Good luck to the rest of yall and don't worry to much. There's a school for everyone.

im so happy for everyone!!!! i was starting to feel lonely because i was accepted ED and i was the only one. now that u all got in im so excited!!!!!!

i do have a question tho. i got into L.C Smith but i want to double major in graphic design at Newhouse. can i call in and tell them or do i have to wait till i get on campus????

once again CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE. CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!!!

i got in a couple days ago via email....1200...25...4.8 gpa, great recs, ecs, and essays...#1 school Illinois...
Whitman...

Melo, call up Syracuse. They will be able to answer your questions far better than anyone here.

I think I would have rather had Syracuse reject me than what they did. They said that my stats were good enough to get into the school but not good enough to get into my major which confuses me. My first choice was math.. I got a 36 on the ACT math, 720 on SAT math, good recommendation from my AP Stat and Pre Calc teachers from last year, and apparently I'm not good enough for their math program. I figured that I showed a strong math background and it would help me out but apparently their math program must be very difficult to get into. It wouldn't be so bad if they had gone on to my second or third choice or a similar choice. They said they went to a similar choice but I fail to see how human services and health professions is related at all. I would have rather been rejected to a school then basically put into their weakest school.

My stats aren't amazing or anything but I thought they were around Syracuse's standards. 1930 SAT, 30 ACT, 88 uw ave, 90 w, showed definite improvement over the years, tough courses, great ecs, good recs. Oh well.. Syracuse wasn't my top choice but it was up there, now I have to wait on my other schools.
