Thanks guys! Yes, I’m pretty proud of my daughter, she has worked her tail off and it’s really gratifying to see her getting some recognition from the schools for it! @MathandSinging, yes, St. Olaf is a top choice - though we’re still waiting on the financial information for them, so we’re not yet sure whether she could actually go. Also, the St. Olaf sample lesson was one of the very first she did. I am of the opinion that she needs to revisit with all the professors as part of her decision process. I’m hoping Bard will release results by the end of next week, and St. Olaf will release financial information. Then we can sit down and discuss everything further.

We did not attend anything called LUX in the past. I think there is an admitted students day (in April?) called LUX? I might be getting confused. I haven’t spoken with my daughter about attending any admitted student events yet. We’re going to do that whole conversation next weekend after she (hopefully) has heard from Bard.

I feel like things are really going to start happening quickly for many of us. These next 2 weeks seem to be the time when the most news come out. Oberlin sent an email last week that decisions should be out 3/20.

I can’t believe it’s only 1.5 month until decision time. It seems so surreal.

We haven’t really been able to visit any schools. We will do a road trip to Boston and CT. in the next few weeks to get a feel for schools within driving distance. Other than that, we are unsure how to approach picking a school if we can’t get out to visit. It seems like a really risky way to plan 4 years of your life. Ultimately I think we will be able to get out to a couple, so I’m hoping that there are factors that help us eliminate some schools in the meantime.

Covid has really made this process challenging! I’m trying to look at it as an adventure!

It will be interesting to see if some of our kids end up at the same schools!

We are in the same boat - waiting for a lot of responses - decisions - and unable to see any campuses due to COVID. We may drive to one or two if S asks in order to help make his choice. We did sign up for Discover IU and JSOM sessions for admitted students.

I’m not good in limbo but S seems ok. Maybe second guessing ranking list. Told him to wait til we have all acceptances in.
