I'm out-of-state.
Stats aren't that amazing:

SATs: 580 M/690 CR/700 W

I applied for LSA/Music double degree, so I have to go through the audition process.

blackrose, what's 3.9/4.5 on a 4.0 scale or percentage wise? just wondering

3.9 unweighted. 4.5 weighted.

ManUtd20Ole is right. Sorry if that was unclear.

oh i see, duh. lol sorry.

Alexandre michigan mod said those who are deferred 40-50 percent are accepted. I assume they look at ur app again and look at your first semester grades (senior year) to see if they want u or not.

I gots teh accepted, and a $60,000 scholarship to boot. 30 on the ACT, 3.9 GPA, no clue what I got on the SATs lol.

OMG! Those are my Stats too! Did you have any other EC's or something that you think got you the scholarship?

I was hoping for one :( ... Congratulations!

I had a 32 on the ACT and a 3.9... Haven't gotten anything.

Yeah, a whole bunch of extra curriculars. I basically signed up for anything I could that would look good on an application. I'm out of state too, that kinda helps in my situation.

I'm out of state too and have quite a few unique EC's.. oh well, I guess it comes down to luck! doh! :(

Darn, that's a real bummer. It might have to do with the percentage of out of state students that apply from the state you're living in. I live in Arkansas, most of the people who grow up here stay here for college. Not alot of people pushing for ivy league colleges and the like. Especially not alot of people wanting to move to a colder climate, or willing to cope with "them Yankee folk". I'm indifferent on the whole northern/souther pride thing, I just wanted as good of an education as I could get. Sorry that you didnt get the scholarship though, I personally dont think it's fair to judge according to location either.

hey hey be happy you got accepted to a great university already. Had i gotten accepted to michigan a while ago, id have no fears at all about the rest of my college letters knowing i got into a school like Michigan already. I'd have no college fears at alL!

i just used that ask us live help in the undergraduate admissions page and all she said was to wait longer... i turned my application in at the end of november and they processed everything by 12/08. the lady also said they received everything by 12/12, however on my WA it says 12/08. i was confused. but i didnt bother to ask.

I got Accepted, out of state
SAT= 2080
Gpa = 3.8(uw) / 4.5-4.6 (w)

werd

i got all my stuff done jan 16th....is it bad that i havent heard yet? or is this normal and i hav a long time to wait

If you read some of the posts here, you'll see that people whose apps were done in early December haven't heard yet. No need to worry--for you it hasn't even been a month!

Soooo, who was accepted recently to engineering and when did you apply?

I was accepted to engineering, but applied back near the beginning of October. It took about a month and a half for the decision to come through, so I wouldn't worry about not hearing very quickly.
