lynnmarie-
how do you know so much about LMU??

*fafsa. Dancingbear, I forgot to ask if you applied ea or rd. Since you already got your acceptance I’m going to assume you applied ea, if you did then you’ll be notified of merit aid late December or early January, and then you’ll get a more comprehensive financial aid package later after they look at your fafsa. On the off chance that you applied rd and just found out really early, then you’ll find out about merit aid after they’ve looked at your fafsa.
Peacelovehappy, my mom works at lmu.

Oh cool
Are you definitely going to LMU next year?

No. I applied to other schools too. It depends on where I get accepted, financial aid, and of course the “right fit” factor. I like LMU a lot, but I want to keep my options open. I applied to Fordham in NY, but I think that will be even more expensive and I don’t think I can handle east coast weather.

http://www.campusgrotto.com/college-libraries-that-look-like-spaceships.html. I never thought it looked like a spaceship before, but I guess it kind of does.

ugh yes I know…I’m from NY and the weather is what kills me…that’s why I’m moving west
Fordham is really nice, but the area around it isn’t so great

My son got his acceptance letter today! He never got an email saying his application materials were in, and was getting concerned that he didn’t even have a log in. That nice thick envelope made up forall the worrying. He was accepted for film production.

Congratulations to your son maddenmd! I’m envious of all the people who received decisions already. :D

Congarts maddenmd you must be a proud parent. I can’t take this wait!

thesanchize: in the end, most people end up in a school where they are very happy. I know the wait is a killer… but have faith… you most likely will be thrilled by the school you decide to attend. Most of the kids I know ended up very happy, even if the school they attended was not their first, second, or even third original choice. You will know soon. Let us all know what happens for you and where you decide to attend.

@maddenmd congrats to your son! ive seen you around the visual and film major forum lol. are you guys spring transfer or high school?

and what were your guys stats

3 of the schools I applied to are in CA, you’ll love the West Coast. Congrats maddenmd, LMU has a great Film and TV school.

I am so angry because I just called today because it said they didn’t receive my transcripts which was weird cause I sent all my stuff out the first of November. I had them look in my physical file and they found the transcript that they forgot to scan. At least they have everything now…hope to get a response soon.

Son got accepted into Engineering, his first acceptance - very happy! His decision came on Nov 22nd.

Love that early admission reassurance right now, MaddenMD, it makes the long wait for USC and Chapman way less anxious. Congratulations to your son.

Thanks for all the warm thoughts. I’m thinking of all of you out there waiting for replies… and crossing my fingers and toes of all of you.

Accepted!!! A couple of days ago, I received an email about the tracking number for a package from LMU. I didn’t wanna get my hopes up then but then I logged in today and saw my status change to “admitted”. Super duper happy! Best of luck to all of you guys!

Congrates Mai! What were your stats if u dont mind me asking? Its encouraging that they’re still sending out acceptances but i think im gettin deferred

@thesanchize Thanks! All the EA decisions are sent by Dec 20, so there’s still time - just cross your fingers! My stats are 2210 SAT, 3.93 GPA. Gooood luck guys!!!
