I was trolling the internets the other day and came across this lovely page.

UC Admissions

Would I be correct in assuming that if my score is above 425 (I'm from texas) that I would be guaranteed admission to my UC school of choice? Or am I just jumping to conclusions? This would be great, since my GPA is kind of low, but my test scores are high.

No, it would not guarantee to a UC of your choice. Even the in state students who are ELC (Elgibility by the Local Context), bascially a UC calcuation for the top 4% of a high school graduating class, are not guarateed a UC of their choice. They could end up at UC Merced, but they will be in a UC. Admission to UC Berkeley and UCLA is highly competitive. UCLA typically gets around 55,000+ applications.
