Please post when and how you hear about acceptances to BoCo.
@CATenorMom I believe they told us end of March, but I don’t recall if it is a phone call, email or snail mail!
Thank you @LBSMOM. My son just received a “teaser” email from BoCo, asking if he enjoyed his audition experience and to review the website to make sure all application materials are complete. Talk about getting excited, only to be a little let down…
@CATenorMom My D received the same email today…got nervous as she thought it was a rejection. :-??
BoCo sends out all of their decisions on the same day by email. I believe they send a notification to check your account for the decision.
They told us the date would be April 1st at my D’s audition in Miami.

2 years ago we found out by email on St. Patrick’s Day, around 3 pm.
1 year ago we found our yes by email and then portal check on March 25th, I still remember the crying call from my daughter 
Okay, BoCo applicants…My son’s status has changed to “Congratulations, you have been admitted to Boston Conservatory.” I then found a paragraph that says:
"What are admissions decisions based on?
The first factor in your admissions decision is the audition, whatever that audition process may entail. (From musical theater to instrumental performance to dance, the process varies widely.) The applications of students found to be artistically acceptable are then reviewed by the admissions committee. The committee takes a holistic look at grades, test scores, letters of recommendations, and essays in order to determine final acceptance."
Does that mean he’s been accepted into the MT program?! Would you call??
@CATenorMom that sounds like great news! Was this message on the Apply Yourself portal? I just checked my Ds portal and it says application status: submitted. If you call to find out please post and let us know what you learn. Fingers crossed!

It sounds great! this is early for boco but who knows – sounds perfect!. I would for sure call – congrats!!
Yes, I could be misinterpreting the Congratulations screen, but I don’t remember it saying that the last time I checked his status. I will call BoCo soon and let you know if it’s a false alarm. Fingers crossed it’s not. :)]
Sorry, all. False alarm. Admissions said it’s too early and that decisions have not yet been made. Oh well, more waiting.
@CATenorMom just out of obsessive curiosity, where did you see the congratulations screen? I only know to log in under the apply yourself portal page.
Haha, I totally understand the obsessive curiosity. The congratulations screen was in the enrollment screen. Somehow I thought I had logged in and that it was my son’s status. It wasn’t, though. Back to those dreaded ups and downs, waiting, waiting…
Has anyone heard when portal updates may go out? I’ve done just about all the waiting I have in me. We need some decisions STAT!
@DramaMama603 Current student stated on Facebook that the decisions could come out any time this week up to the first of April. The faculty met and made final decisions last Friday. They are on spring break right now.
@mtdancer5678 Did the student mention if they notify by email, phone or portal?
