Acceptances are coming

Its very confusing. The Cxxxxxxxx is your application id and your CID and XID.

Then you will have a username based on your name. ie John Smith is jsmith

That is used for email and housing application.

EDIT- oh and don’t forget you have a applyweb.net user id too… so 3 ids so far.

Ooohh that’s clear lol. I thought applyweb and C###### were the same - which they might be for us? U applied so much earlier its hard to know ;)

I bet the reason they don’t do online admissions notifications is probably because, in universities that do this (unless the university has rolling admissions), it ends up crashing their website. Having just spent last Friday checking and rechecking my daughter’s application status at University of Florida, it is INCREDIBLY frustrating. And I bet it’s even more so for people who are declined after 3 hours of clicking. Online notification works well in schools that have rolling admissions.

Huh Alex, excellent point! Weirdly, that makes me feel a little better. I guess because it just makes SENSE. Sorry for your frustration though… :(

I know another school I was accepted to put out decisions two days before they were supposed to in order to combat the overload

I too can login to Touchnet and pay the $200 admissions deposit. Was it decided that this is a good sign or can everyone who applied access that screen? As you can see, we are desperately searching for clues about the impending admission decision.

Is it safe to assume that since DS has not received a scholarship letter then there is no hope of receiving one?

Good luck to everyone waiting!

NCmom23…My DS is a freshman and didn’t receive his scholarship offer last year until two weeks after he received acceptance to Clemson. All occurred in February.

I don’t think anyone knows whether everyone can see it because no one has a test case (a person who definitely hasn’t been admitted) to test it out.

Good to know about the scholarships, DadQuestion. My daughter isn’t going to Clemson unless she gets one, and I’d sort of written it off.

Nothing in Chicago except a “Find the Right Direction” brochure. Me DD received absolutely no literature from Clemson since she applied in August and now, days before we are to hear, they send a brochure. Is this supposed to be funny? I’m not sure the message this sends to the anxious applicant. So, they have time to send literature, but are late sending decision letters. The process is so frustrating. The one thing Clemson needs to change-they need an ED/EA option. Applying in August and waiting until Feb. is too much stress.

yeah an online notification system could crash the site if everyone checks their decision at one time so that could definitely be a reason. Also, by mailing out letters over the country they could at least spread out some of the calls to the admissions office from some of the rejected out of state students…

Good luck to everyone!

Is there anyone out there who does not have the touch net on their portal?

I can go onto Touchnet, I can click on payment and my DD has been issued a CIUD number. There is a balance of $200. Anybody knows what this means? If she’s been issued a CUID number, could that mean she’s been accepted?

nothing received in pa

I can get into touchnet. when i go to pay, balance says $0. not a good sign!

So Chicagomom, the first page of TouchNet says balance $200? Or navigating further in it lets u choose and PAY the $200? An important distinction, possibly…

And that brochure made me want to scream in frustration. We received it today too :/

received brochure as well – of course I scoured it for any clue or hidden meaning – Clemson is our final decision and I’ll be glad done with this stage! good luck all

Burghmom3-I thought that, too, but go through the process as though you are going to pay. Make sure you are on the tab eDeposits, not Payments. I can pay the $200 admissions deposit and it shows her CUID number. Her friend, who is a student at Clemson, said only admitted students are issued the CUID number. Praying that means she’s in. Now I just hope it’s to the major she wants.

Let me know what others have found.

thanks chicagomomof2 --i have $200 going through eDeposits.

BurghMom3-I want to just pay the $200 deposit now! That’s how frustrated I am with the waiting!! I’m happy you can now see the $200. Now keep going as if you are going to make a credit card payment. A blank white screen will come up, but wait. Then a payment screen comes up and that’s where I saw the student ID number. Right now I think thousands of applicants are doing what we are doing because I can’t get back into that screen. So, be patient.

I can get to that page too. That CUID # is the same one she’s had all along. My D was assigned an ID# when she applied in November. It’s a C######## right? If ur child applied before that maybe they were still on the old system, and that’s why this number is new for u? I know they just upgraded the system and iRoar is new… Maybe ask her friend what else she can do with that number since we all seem to be able to give them our money lol!
