My S was accepted into Johnston Center program at Redlands. He's excited although not yet committed until he gets more news from other colleges.
Anyone else accepted to Redlands? Johnston Center?

p.s. We visited the college back in the fall. Great visit, very friendly staff and students.
Beautiful campus.

Yes, I was accepted. Still waiting to hear from other schools before I make any decisions though.

Has your son (or anyone else lurking around the forum, actually) done an overnight there? I'm doing one Monday, haven't done any yet and just wanted to know if anyone had done one at Redlands, how it went, etc.

My S has not yet done an overnight.
He wants to schedule it but we are waiting on two other colleges that would be among the top 3 he is considering (Redlands included), just so we can plan the logistics of travel toward end of March and into early April.
Let us hear how your visit goes!

I visited over spring break in 2008, but I didn't do an overnight. I'm also waiting to hear back from all my regular decision schools before I start deciding where the deposit is heading.

For those looking in future years I did have a very low gpa (2.7) but better test scores (31 act, 2000+ sat). I was accepted on regular decision and was not offered any merit based scholarships.

alansanmateo, thanks for the input re your D's overnight.

My S will visit the school again mid-April, though not an overnight.
It'll be interesting to see if he feels the same.

At this point he too has been admitted to really interesting schools, but U Redlands is the one he still gets a thrill about being accepted (even though it was a match, not a reach).
