Acceptances for Fall 2009

I randomly told my d to check her status online and got a very nice surprise today that she was accepted into the conservatory of music for musical theatre. We aren’t sure when any of the schools are letting prospectives know since all seem to say one thing and do another. Anyway, if you check your status online, you might get a nice surprise too!

turtlesinger- Congratulations on the acceptance! However, I am more nervous than ever!!! My D just checked her status and it told her an email has been sent to her. When we checked the email, it simply said that for fall auditions letters would be sent by Dec 15th and for spring auditions the would be sent by March 20th. But NOTHING about an acceptance. I am thinking it means bad news. :frowning: When did your D audition? and does it say she was accepted right there on admission status? - worried mom

Ok how did you check your status??? I went on the website but couldn’t find any information on how to do this! Now I am so anxious so if you could help me out that would be great!

Nevermind, I just figured it out. I got the same e-mail as 2Bornot… Hmmm now I’m nervous.

Ok. So this is slightly embarrassing. I’m normally really good with computers, however, I can’t find this status thing anywhere. Could I please have some assistance. Thanks!

Haha yea I was having the same problem so finally I just typed in “status” or “admission status” or something like that into the search thing on the site and it came up in the results. Hope that helps!

I didn’t check the status, my daughter did —otherwise I’d help out. I can ask her and get back to you tomorrow.

I’m accepted! Woo!

Thanks for your help!

Fear not ballerinabeyler! I checked my status yesterday and received the same email back. However, I checked again today…and my D had a different email saying Congratulations! you are accepted to the conservatory of music. My D auditioned for both vocal performance and music theatre. I called the admissions office and they said it means she is def in for at least 1 if not both. I would have to wait for the letter to find out. They said that the letter usually follows very quickly once you receive that email. Hope that helps and dont give up!

turtlesinger (and evanzimm)- Sorry to bother you AGAIN lol…but I have one more question. My D and her friend both have the email that says Congratulations! You have been accepted to the Conservatory of Music at Baldwin Wallace College. Did yours say the same thing or did it say to the Conservatory of Music for Music Theatre? Or…have either of you received a letter yet? Sorry for all the questions, but this was one of her favorite schools!

My d’s says the same thing. Congratulations- acceptance to the Conservatory of Music at Baldwin College. She only applied and auditioned for the musical theatre program ( not vocal program or anything else) so unless they automatically consider you for something else I am under the impression that she got into the program for whichshe auditioned. We did not receive a letter in the mail yet - only the email. Congratulations to your daughter!

Yeah, mine said the same thing. And a friend of mine had the same email.

I was so nervous today because I went to the mailbox and there was a little envelope from BW…i literally said out loud “rejection, darn it.” but i opened it and I have been wait listed. I am happy!

DancinDG…happy for you!

I got my letter on Friday and have been waitlisted! Yay i’m relieved that my first letter wasn’t a rejection!

My official acceptance letter came in the mail today. So, yay!

Does anyone know how many students b-w waitlists for the mt program, and if there’s any way of finding out where you are on the waitlist?

ballerinabeyler, There is no order to the waitlist. When you are placed on the waitlist at BW you are waitlisted after someone who was accepted of your type. If that person happens to decline the offer, their spot would then be offered to you. I hope this helps.

Thank you, that definately answers my question!

If the person who is your “type” declines before May 1 and you are going to get pulled off the waitlist, does the school tell you as soon as possible? Or do they wait until after May 1 and they have heard from everybody?
