Acceptances letters? Spring 2012

Has anybody gotten any answers in regards to their Spring 2012 application (transfer) ?

Anxiety is destroying me on the inside, waiting for an answer......

I read on their website to wait until December for decisions. Just think of something else to do :).

Bumpmeupbump

i received it two weeks ago. i’d Call them ASAP if you have other schools to deal with as well.

@lily, Since you recommend I call them, do you think I should ask for the director of admissions? Because I keep getting mixed answers from the people answering the phones in the admissions office.

Thanks.

mixed answers?
were they not able to bring up your files? i contacted the admissions office at University Buffalo and they directed me to someone specifically for my case, which was also about my admissions status. she was able to pull up my files, check if the acceptance letter was sent out, and estimate when it would reach me. she even warned me about upcoming deadlines (for housing).

i’m not sure who you should contact but mixed answers is definitely an issue (red flag!) <_< man i hate that.

they should be able to give you a sure answer about your status.

Should I contact the director of admissions directly?

PS did you apply EOP?

Hey I’m going to Bing next semester as a freshman transfer from Fordham Univeristy. I sent them an email and they responded this morning. If theres any other transfers out there I’d love to hear from you!

@Lys, you sent them an email stating what?

When did your receive your answer from them?

Well they asked me to fill out and send in my mid semester grades up to date but I wasn’t able to actually send them in untill last week so I sent an email apologizing for mailing the document in late and just informing them that it was indeed on its way up to Binghamton. I sent the email yesterday and recieved an email back this morning.

Oh nice, congrats!

Mind I ask, what was your GPA and how many credits were completed?

Well I’m going in as 2nd semester freshman, so I only completed about 17 credits here at fordham and another 12 from AP’s. I’m not really sure about my gpa but I’m sure that it wasn’t very good because I was miserable here and therefore my grades had tanked
Good Luck!

Hey Lysmarino, What major/school did u apply to (for Binghamton)?

I’ve received my acceptance letter last Tuesday and I’m attending. :)

Hi, I still haven’t heard from Bing yet and I am getting worried because the semester is about to end. Do you know when I should hear by? Also, since this is my first semester of college, I am assuming they are looking at my high school grades. Next semester should be easier to gain acceptance since they only look at college grades after I have received 24 credits. I currently attend SUNY Maritime and I think I’m going to get a 3.6 gpa however I am miserable here. My high school average was 82 and SATS are 1170. I think my high school grades are going to bring me down a lot for Spring 2012 admissions. I am a very involved student, sailing team, track, student council…etc and I took hard class (AP’s and college level courses). I already have 21 credits from high school so this semester plus those 21 credits will bring me above 24 credits for the Fall 2012 admissions. Do you think I still have a chance for Spring 2012 admission into Harpur undeclared?

whatsup people!!

i just checked my status checker and thank god i have been accepted and will be attending!

Omg, I got accepted too.
Wow, wtheckkkkk, I don’t know what to do at all. I paid my deposit for Geneseo already, and I was just so set on Geneseo that I don’t know what to think…

I have a question guys, okay so I haven’t been doing that well this semester. I began slacking after I found out that I would be transferring.
If my GPA is relatively low (lower than 3.0), is there a big chance to get my acceptance revoked? …

Paid the deposit, now what?

@ sjmoon: Think about it this way, if you got into Binghamton first, would you have chosen Geneseo?

Also, I have no idea if they would rescind their offer. I would hope not. I know in extreme cases they might.

@rsal34: Activate your binghamton email. If you’re going to be living on campus, list your housing preferences.
