Although i didnt intend to make this thread for posting if you got in, feel free to do so, and if you are so kind, post links to where your artwork can be seen online.

i remember reading on the website that they we will be notified the first week of april

They mailed them today! I’m so nervous

I got my letter today; now i cant stop smiling :)

i got my letter today!! I freaked out when I opened it. They said to call the admissions office if you didn’t get it by 5 PM today.

Hi everyone! Congratulations and I got a bad news…I’m in the wait list.Does anyone knows what this means and what should I do before May1st if I really really want to go to RISD?
Should I send in more works or something?
Thanks:D

you should join the facebook group “Lucy’s RISD Admissions 101”. She’s an admissions rep and she checks everyday and answers any and all questions.
But from what I’ve gathered, there’s a wait list, and then a priority section of the waitlist, and it would have said on your thing if you’re priority waitlist. You don’t send in more work. She said generally they’re able to let in students from the waitlist so you just have to wait and see how many people reject their acceptance offer. Again, I could be getting this wrong so join the group and ask Lucy!

Good luck!! :)

OH! Thank you so much for your reply and your kind help!
I am pretty depressed these days because of the wait list and family problems. However, I still have a chance and I will try my best:D
I was fortune to get to know some kids to is going to RISD this fall, and their works are awesome! I am very impressed, that’s why I want to go to this school as an international student so badly!

After all, thank you and I really appreciate!

i got in… don’t think I’ll go though…sigh.

:( money? Sorry pie… but you know, a lot of people get in as a sophomore transfer, and Lucy told my friend who cant go because of money that the amount of aid they can receive is actually higher, like 45,000 I believe, so just try your hardest at whatever school you go to and you can apply to risd again next year!
