Acceptances to UCLA 2012

Has anyone been accepted yet? If so, what is your GPA, SAT scores etc.

no one knows for sure yet...

yah, people have gotten accepted for athletics and regents/alumni scholarships. Can anyone confirm that decisions come on the 15th? Or is it just the "end of March"?

Those who applied under Engineering Majors have already been notified if they were accepted.

no one knows 100% FO SHO YET!

...except regents and athletes

I got the Engineering letter. When does LA do Regent's? Is it similar to Davis and they notify you when you get accepted?

so by engineering letter, do you mean
the engineering open house invitation?

would you know if you were rejected from the engineering dept?

If you applied under engineering, and haven't gotten the letter, you're probably rejected.

1990 SAT 670 CR 630 M 690 W

660 Literature, 680 US History

29 ACT

Posting for my child, who was accepted:

GPA 4.2 uweighted, 3.96 unweighted, 32 ACT (equiv to 715 avg SAT), SAT II math advanced 760, chem not sure but in low 700s I think. Some APs and honors courses though not all the very hardest ones. President of a low profile club, sports team all four years though no star, decent amount of charity work, and worked very hard - many iterations - on essays.

Everyone is posting basic stats but keep in mind the holistic process. It may explain some of the seeming inconsistencies in who was accepted and who was not. And it may convince you that there's now more subjectivity in the decision. Perhaps an essay that hits home with the right admissions officer can make a difference.

Just some guesses!

Also, was accepted into the honors program. I would be curious what percent of entering freshman, all great students, got this offer. Also, would love to hear whether it's worth it from UCLA students who tried it.

A dad

lol i almost have the same stats sparkle...
1990 SAT 780m 650v 560w
4.12 UC GPA
730iic 680phys

yeah. you really have to consider the hollistic processs. i didnt get the best SAT or the highest AP scores but i still tried. plus im sure my essay had played a huge role in it.

SAT: 1630
GPA: 4.17 (weighted. 3 point something unweighted)
Rank: 3rd out of 400 students (i'm in ELC too)
**took all honors and have taken/taking 5 AP classes.
AP scores: passed biology and english comp both with 3s
SAT subject tests.... hahaha let's not get into that. dnt remember nemore.

see? i'm not the brightest of the bunch but i really worked hard and was still able to get in =)
