I just got my acceptance to Steinhardt yesterday!!! Has anyone else heard anything?

I was accepted as well! Congrats!

Do you know how many they accept?

No idea…I facebooked a current student though, so I will find out soon!

My D was accepted to the steinhardt musical theatre summer program. We are from NJ. Can someone give us some info on their experience with this program. She was also accepted into CAP21 and paper mill playhouse summer conservatory. Any thoughts about which program has best reputation or experiences for students who want to pursue MT in college?

If anyone on here has decided to go to Steinhardt, there is a Facebook group for the class of 2015- just search NYU Steinhardt Vocal Performance Class of 2015!!!

@Momlock…Paper Mill is a well established program. 2 of the 5 weeks for rising seniors are devoted to working on monologues. All senior company members get a weekly vocal lesson as well, giving them an opportunity to work on 16 bar cuts for auditions. Last summer, my son was a senior company member and a rising HS senior and found his experience there and training he received to be well timed for going into his senior yr of HS, and the college audition season. He was also accepted for this summer’s conservatory, but opted to get a summer job and save up for college expenses. He’ll miss it very much. He’ll attend Wagner College in the fall as a Theater Performance major.
Broadway Artists Alliance in NYC is another program he’s done (summer 2010). He had a great time there as well; students from across the country came to that program, whereas PM’s Conservatory is more NJ/NY attendees. PM’s New Voices concerts at the end of the summer conservatory are sold out every year, and draw many patrons (1000+) having no ties to any of the students in the show. They go for the quality of the performances.
We feel it was worth every penny!
