Did anyone get in that wasn't accepted to GSP? A girl from my school got her letter yesterday (for CAS or Steinhardt I believe) and I came home anxiously awaiting mine, but nothing.

Thats odd that she'd get it that early...what were her stats?

what's GSP? Is that better or worse than CAS?

maybe we'll all get a surprise letter tomorrow... i hope

drinking...GSP is a referall from the program you applied to...mainly referall from CAS...its not worse than CAS..its just you don't get what you initially applied for. You have a different curriculum for 2 yrs and then are guaranteed a spot to the school u applied to after that.

But basically, you are still accepted into NYU....it's just that you don't get to study the program you intended to study. Right?

yea, you go onto whatever school afterwards and Im pretty sure you still graduate in four years with an NYU degree

ahh are you sure that she got a non-gsp acceptance?

that's nuts.

maybe i should be nervous now? yay.

I doubt it was a non-GSP acceptance considering that even the kids in my school who found out they got accepted through coaches haven't received an official mail yet and we live in NY..

i dont think she was telling u the truth

The only letters to go out so far are GSP letters.

everyone on college confidential that got into GSP applied to CAS. Is it possible that the havent sent them out for other schools?

i'm an international student and i got a place at CAS a couple days ago.

I am also international and I got into CAS Early Decision.

Did not think that I would get in due to my poor SAT scores, (1250 old), but the rest (APs, GPA, rec, activities were stellar). I guess international is easier to get in than US students.

Good luck to the rest of prospective NYU Class of 2010 students!
