Hey guys,
I haven't heard from Wellesley yet... I'm hoping my letter comes in early next week. For those who have gotten their letters, how did you fair?

Oh also, I've heard that if you recieve a thick envelope it means you got in. If you receive a standard evelope, you've been rejected... is this true? Or should I wait and find out for myself?

Hey,
I haven't heard yet either and I'm pretty much dying to know if I got in, and also to know about everyone else! Hopefully all of the big snow storms won't impact how fast the mail got out...

I'm pretty sure the thick envelope deal is true for Wellesley. Although who knows, they could have decided to change this year. Anyway, good luck to you!!

I didn't apply to Wellesley ED (Mount Holyoke actually, sorry) but I occasionally peruse this board, as I may apply RD if things "don't work out." But, I live about 20 minutes from Wellesley, so, to respond to esperanto76--I don't think the snow will be a problem. It was terrible Friday afternoon, but there's been a lot of melting, and the worst was isolated to just late Friday, so, I think the mail should have gone out. The metro-Boston area and anywhere east of the Pike faired better than the central and western part of the state. So there's my meteorological analysis. I am on pins and needles too, hopefully no nor'easters in the next week! Best of luck guys!!!

Thanks deroutefille...good to know I might get a letter a day sooner than I was thinking. Not that I'm being impatient at all :) I hope things work out for you with Mount Holyoke!

Thank you. My fingers are crossed for us all. And I would concur on patience, see, I thought I was a patient human being, but I am beginning to have my doubts and attempting to avoid a countdown. Our letters are supposed to be sent around the 16th, and I'm hoping this week flies with many a distraction until that letter arrives (the dimensions of which I am also curious to know...thick, thin, FedEx?). I guess I'll just have to open it.

I am almost positive it will be a package. I was a transfer applicant applying to begin this spring (all transfer applicants got to find out if they were admitted online on Friday) and in my acceptance letter online they said that my "acceptance packet" has been mailed to my home address. I am also pretty sure that everything was mailed on December 9th.

I hope this helps! I understand all of the nerves; I was feeling so sick before I checked my decision.

Yep! I think its because of how little time transfer students have to withdraw from their current schools and move their things. Even with early online notification, I only have a week left here.

Congrats! How far away from Wellesley do you reside? Is she a genius... I'm very nervous, used to be overly-confident, now I'm not confident at all.

Man, i'm soooo nervous. i've been having butterflies all today (not a good thing when I'm taking finals). i keep checking the mailbox every five minutes, but still nothing.
