does anyone know if you need a certain GPA while at Wheaton to take certain classes at the other colleges it is in the " 12 college consortium" with?

i think you apply for the program and get chosen for a limited amount of seats.....so its probably assumed that you need a decent gpa and other stats.

has anyone visited the wheaton campus? what does it look like, is it pretry? I'm going for an open house on the 14th and i'm pretty excited!

i have some pictures of it if you want. pm me ur email address and i'll forward them to you......

the campus is very pretty. it has a pond and lots of trees......the buildings are nicely kept. there are two parts to campus: upper campus and lower campus. upper campus is the traditional brick campus and lower is more of the not so ivy covered brick...haha....i don't quite know how to explain it.

for the people that got accepted to wheaton starting in the FALL/SEPT. are you definetly going to wheaton?

for anyone who went to the open house, how was it?

i went to the open house on the 14th. it was good but the scheduling was kinda funny. for example, they have presentations lasting until 10:40 but classes that you can sit in on start at 10:30. my mom sat in on a presentation about the Filene Center and apperently it was amazing (i was sitting in on a psychology class). i had an excentric religion professor, an albert einstein look-a-like political science professor, and a boring psychology professor. the students were really nice to us. one girl i was talking to said she had never had a professor who was not amazing and always willing to help. it was funny, there seemed to be more guys at the open house then girls, maybe its because the guys have to figure out if they want to go to a school where they are totally outnumbered (even tho it certainly has its advantages). now that i have answered that question (although i could go into much more detail) i have a concern of my own. Being a public high school grad, almost, i have had this certain stereotype of the kids who went to small private schools. i've always thought that they were sheltered and whips b/c they could not handle the pressures of public school. now i am worried that it will be the same way at wheaton. basically, if anyone can tell me what the student population is like (especially the guys) i would really appreciate it. i also want to make sure that, even tho i'm not a huge partier, that i'm not going to school with a bunch of straight-edges. sorry if i've offened anyone, i'm just trying to rebuck my stereotype.

i went to the open house last week. i agree with jerah88, the scheduling was funny because you werent really supposed to show up to classes late but they all started at the same time so you could technically only go to one.

i liked the dorms even though i was on lower campus. it didnt even seem like lower campus was as far away from everything else as everyone else said. the campus wasn't overly big. you can literally walk across in 5-8 minutes. i was in a foreign language class which was pretty decent...

the student population was more diverse than i expected. i saw tons more guys than i expected too. the guys were like guys at any other place....some jocks, some not, some the party type, others not. trust me, there were no sheltered whips around haha. since it was spring weekend, everyone pretty much partied til 4 AM and then went to their 10AM classes and started partying again between classes/food/meetings. twas fun.

I sent in my deposit and had a conformation paper sent back. Do you know when we will be getting our email addresses? ( I really want to make a Wheaton Facebook account!) haha

Does anyone know how to set up a wheaton email account? I know there is an explination sheet called "computing at wheaton" that tries to explain it. What Wheaton ID are they talking about? I tried to use the one they gave me a while ago to check the status of my application.. but it says it is unrecognizable... any ideas? Has anyone successfuly set up their email?? Thanks!

from what i understood, we get the account sn sent to us after july 14th. i was type confused by all the words on the page. you know...
