just got accepted as an MT major! IM me anyone else who has been accepted! chaseman1325.

heyyy guy who wanted to know where i got to highschool. i got to Walnut Hill school for the performing arts. its a reallygreat school and has helped me to become a much better actor over the last two years.

What forum were people talking about me in... now you've got me interested. It probably was me, if it was about me and my trumpet. It's always been a huge part of my life since I was in first grade and I've been trying to leave my mark in both classical and jazz palying in my area.

CaptRobinson-
There is a Musical Theater thread under college majors. Actually there is this one that is specific to CMU MT/Acting and there is a general thread as well. That is where you were mentioned I believe. Look under college majors and click on Musical Theater Major.

My S is currently a junior BFA acting major at CMU. Hope you get the chance to meet him in the fall.

It was I that asked where you went to high school. I teach in the Music and Theater Conservatory at a performing arts high school in California so I was curious.

My son is a junior in the BFA acting program there. He has been very happy. Next year, if all goes well, he will participate in Showcase. We just went back to see him in a play at CMU a few weeks ago.

CMU will keep you very busy!!

I just want to blow Wct's son's horn for a minute here. And those of you who decide to go to CMU next year (and major congratulations on your success btw) will be blown away by her son's talent. I too saw the the show he was in this semester, a really intense, three person play (over 2 hours long), and all I can say is that he was astonishing! It was a privilege to watch work of that caliber. I know there was a knock leveled at this program on the forum recently, but I have to tell you that given what I saw, the CMU Acting program is incredibly strong and deserving of its fine reputation.

Just another opinion to add to the mix.

PS I'm not in a position to judge the fulltime MT program as I've never seen a production and don't personally know any current students, but given my D's experience in the pre-college program I have to think it too is first rate.

I should be hearing back from them sometime this week, it is my number one choice right now. If I don't get in at CMU, I have to pick between Baldwin-Wallace for MT, Point Park for MT, and Otterbein for BA Theatre.

broadwaycorey, you have wonderful choices already! Good luck to you.

I checked online today and it said waitlisted yay. I don't know if that counts to be in this thread though. Still didn't get a letter.

Just curious...anyone else waitlisted online today?

I was! I still haven't received anything in the mail but I saw it online.

Same here . . . I found out I was rejected online, but I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet. It's all good . . . at least I finally know!

i haven't found out anything..the decision is still blank on-line..werent we supposed to know by april 1st?

Mine's blank toooo it's so frustrating

Hold tight you guys. Last year, not everyone got their notification online on the same day. It was frustrating and the information coming out of CMU was inconsistent regarding when the notices would go up. My D had hers posted several days past when I read others did on CC. Hers ended up being a Waitlist too. So, hang in there.

I'm still not sure how to find out online... If they can't give us our ID over the phone then how are we supossed to get our decision online?

My display is blank too. For anyone whose has shown something: did it pop up in the middle of the day or overnight? I feel so in the dark still, but it's good to know that not everyone has heard something yet.
