Hey, just out of curiousity, they mailed me a letter giving me my UT EID and my password. So will it be posted on the website if im rejected or accepted from UT? One more thing, by when do we find out if we have been accepted or rejected?

You're supposed to get an email before they post the decision on your website and they say they send the official decision in a letter to your permanent address.

I've heard UT's a rolling admission and their website says you will hear by April 1. It does seem they focus on people in the to 10% early on in the process. People who're in the very top of their class (top 10 students, not just top 10%) with good stats can hear in as little as two days.

Everyone I've heard of who's has been accepted was in their top 10%, at least so far. Has anyone here who's not in the 10% of their class been accepted?

Well, I applied for an undecided major hoping that I would get in even though I am not in the top 10% of my class, do you think I have a chance?

Lots of folks have posted who aren't in the top 10% of their class or who are out of state where it doesn't techically count. It's hard to say. Look through the acceptance thread in this forum and see how your stats compare.

BTW, they put the info on my S's webpage before he received his email. Not a big difference in timing, though.

hey everyone. i got accepted to UT Red mccombs business school and was notified at the website. im an international student and super happy to get in austin, especially how hard it is , and my sat was not that great (1300)

i got in school of engineering .I m an international student.
Calculus BC 4 AB 5
Physics 5
Chemistry 3
SAT-1330
hey charle16 did u get scholarship as well

hey poisonedapple. i did not apply for scholarship, did u get any? i though there were none available for internationals.....btw, what country are u from?

My S is instate, not in the top 10%, but high SAT, and NMF, he was accepted in the school of natural sciences. It seems weird how they make their decisions, I really cannot make any rhyme or reason out of it. He also was notified on the web page and then sent a letter.

I am adding that we know alot of kids who have been admitted from Texas who are not top 10%. They started being notified early March. Most were bumped to liberal arts. But there are a few I know, like my son and his friend who is engineering, that got school of first choice.

My son in like 30%, but goes to a very difficult private prep school.

there were no scholarships in austin . i was just wondering if anyone got any .i m from Nepal .
