The last correspondance we recieved said that decisions would be out April 1st. Anyone else have any other information?

By the way the board is pretty dead, be nice to get some activity going here.

Thanks.

Yeah, they will send out their acceptances and denials on the 1st of April. It's almost only a month away bites nails

I'd like to see this board more active too.

How about answer a few questions:

How high on your list is Pepperdine? It's tied for number 1 with Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara, but has a little bit of an advantage because of reputation. I feel I'll be happy at my safety too tho, Cal Poly. :)

What is your favorite thing about Pepperdine? The sense of community I got there. And the dorms. And the view, duh :)

How confident do you feel about getting in? Eh. My SAT scores aren't so hot and I hardly have any EC's compared to the people who apply. I worked really, really hard on my essays though.

Do you have any reservations about attending the school? I'm a country, middle-class girl. I don't care all that much about fashion and I despise drama. I'm hoping the fact that a majority of people being wealthy and white doesn't affect their personalities. I'm not a SoCal type--I'm a beach bum type. But I'm willing to give it a try.

**Have you visited? **YES! It sucked because it was a 10am tour and it was foggy, but I could still tell how beautiful the campus was. The staff was friendly too.

(sorry about how weird the post looks--CC has been doing this to me all week and it won't let me fix it.)

Those are great questions, I can give you my answers to what I would guess my son would say:

He is interested in Broadcast Journalism so Pepperdine is probably his third of fourth choice behind USC, Syracuse, and USD. He's been accepted to all three, but he is leaning heavily toward USC.

I think he has a decent chance of getting accepted but you never know what they are looking for and it is a pretty small freshmen class so who knows.

Favorite thing about Pepperdine is the location and size. Also that it is a Christian based university.

He knows a few people who currently attend Pepperdine and they are really cool and laid back and so I wouldn't worry too much about fitting in based on your profile.

He hasn't visited yet, but if he gets accepted he will for sure.

Best of luck with your applications. You've made some great choices and if Cal Poly SLO is you saftey you are in great shape. You are pretty much guaranteed a great education no matter what.

How high on your list is Pepperdine?
~First choice

What is your favorite thing about Pepperdine?
~I love that its a small christian school and there seems to be a real sense of community within the campus

How confident do you feel about getting in?
~I think I have a pretty good chance, but you never know right?

Do you have any reservations about attending the school?
~Its really expensive and I worry if ill be able to handle that kind of debt post-grad. But im hoping to get a lot of finacial aid.

Have you visited?
~Yes I have but i went during the summer so there wasnt a lot going on around the campus. there wasnt really anyone there.

Anyone know if theres any chance we'll find out before 4/1?

I've heard one source that says ALL emails go out on April 1. And then there are conflicting reports that around March 20th mail/email may arrive. I have no idea but i'm counting down the days - 26!

Hi everyone! I have been checking in on this board and remembering how excited our kids were this time last year. From our own experience, everyone will receive an email on April 1, regardless of admission, deferral, or denial. Keep in mind that some students may be offered a Spring semester matriculation- at least that is what happened in our home. Our D was offered traditional fall term and S offered Spring term. Spring term for 09 ( as I remember ) had around 80 places.

Good luck to all of you who have applied-Pepperdine is a very selective school-last year's admission rate was just 27%-so be proud of any and all acceptances.

Thank you for sharing. It's nice to have some activity in these boards. I check every day now to see if anyone has heard any new information.

Hey everyone I just received my acceptance for Pepperdine about 30 minutes ago. So if you applied check your email inbox to see if you got in too!
