Seeking input regarding Acceptd’s option to have schools see everything that is downloaded. So-say my daughter submits prescreen requirements A, B, C, and D to school X. Is there any merit in having her other Acceptd content visible? Say, a 30 second tap requirement that school Y required. Or a monologue in a style that only school Z required. Will school X look? Could this possibly help in passing prescreen, or no?
My daughter auditioned last year, and I remembered wondering about this too, but she opted not to and passed prescreens. This is pure speculation, but I can’t imagine schools sifting through individual files to watch extra content on kids. We thought it had more to do with other schools recruiting applicants…perhaps by some type of file ‘matching’ that could identify that Applicant A has all the requirements to apply for X school…so X school contacts Applicant A. I’d be curious if anyone has first-hand knowledge on this subject too! Best of luck!!
Thank you for the response. I am thinking the same thing-but my daughter is SO worried about not passing prescreens, and so I want her to feel like she is doing everything in her control to present her best “stuff”.
@owensfolks just assure her to put her best foot forward. Passing a prescreen is a huge accomplishment. But even passing the prescreens doesn’t gaurantee anything my daughter passed 4 prescreens and was rejected from all 4 schools. It’s important to figure out what type of school you really want to end up at. They are all very different in there approach. We visited all the top schools she was interested in and met with the mt admissions. It was very helpful and we got a good sense of the philosophies of each school.
