Accepted! Applied for the St. Pete campus and going this weekend to see it. Sounds really nice, especially the dorms.

Just received my honors college invite…with an additional scholarship…
looks like I might be going to USF after all.

How did you get your invitation? does it come in the mail? there is no way i didn’t get into the honors college!!!

Invite came via snail mail plain envelope from honors college 2 weeks after admittance.
Very excited

i have not even gotten a defferal letter or notification on oasis or anything and its been like 6 weeks!

GPA: 3.8ish UW, 4.2+ W
27 ACT
ECs: 145 hours of community service with leadership, clubs, dance, job.

Hi JT did you get your acceptance yet? I applied like sept. 28 and still dont know either!! i hope we find out soon!!

not yet i applied like sept 13th and still nothing. although i called the admissions officer and she said i will most likely be defered me untill i get higher test scores.

oh ok… well i took the act twice composite score both times was a 20, and when they take out the best scores 2 make a composite score i get a 21…what about you JT?

My daughter just got accepted – the day after her transcript was posted as received. ACT 26 (superscored -from two takings- 25 high) and GPA 3.5 UW (about 4.0 weighted).

She’s excited – she toured USF and loved it – which surprised her. She had toured UCF previously and came home crying because she just hated it so much. (I don’t know why, I kind of thought it was pretty).

my ACT? i got a 23.

LTG see i thought the same thing. i live so close to the campus so i hated it but when i actually toured it i saw its actually quite gorgeous.

They really value test scores.

I have a 3.3 UW GPA, 29 ACT, 1290/1900 SAT and I got a $7,000/year scholarship. Go figure. I’m not complaining, though.

Echobelly,

Congrats on the scholarship – there is a lot of freedom associated with graduating college with no debt.

You mentioned that USF values test scores – do you know their rubric? My daughter (who is admitted) just managed to squeeze a 27 on the latest ACT and was wondering if this would get her any scholarship money. (3.5 UW a bit over 4.0W).

LTG- I got $2,000 a year with a 27 ACT, 4.2W and 3.8UW

Accepted! :)

I’m waiting for USF to get my ACT scores, and the suspense is killing me.
I’m pretty sure I’m unreasonably anxious… I have five academic success factors, a 3.3 weighted GPA, and a 30 on the ACT. My best friend -who attends USF now- keeps reassuring me that I’ll be fine, but I’m still bouncing off the walls.
Am I pretty solid with my qualifications?

Oh, and it’s a 2.8 UW.

Napalm,

I think you’re okay. The matrix showed an admittance at your numbers with 3 or more academic success factors. I understand your nervousness, but USF is pretty fast with an answer. Good luck!

so i have like 4 academic success factors and…
i got defered
dont bother me too much though cause im going to UCF

LTG:
Thank you!

JT:
What were your scores?
