^^^ had you applied EA and just posting now, or did you apply RD?

i applied RD and got a letter in mid-feb saying i got in
does anyone know what that means?

South Carolina...hang in there......I am rooting for you.

Be patient. Financial stuff does not affect acceptance to the school....though your financial award could be delayed.

as for your transcript.....well.....I dont know what that means....its a shame they didnt notify you...though they had record applications again this year...over 23,000 apps. Perhaps your school sent it to the wrong address.

Regardless...I hope you get in and hope to see you in April at the Orientation for accepted students.

how come i havent received my admission decision? i applied RD too.

srm17, It means you got in..

haha i figured that
i meant does it mean anything scholarship or honors program-wise

I don't think so. My daughter got separate admissions, scholarship and honors program letters from Fordham. She was admitted EA to the Lincoln Center campus and the admissions and scholarship letters arrived the same day. But the Honors Program letter arrived about 2 weeks later. I think procedures are a little different at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center, though.

are RD decisions out yet?

Hi did your daughter apply EA or RD. When did she receive her letter ? My daughter applied for Lincoln Center as well.

Sorry! Just reread your post and I see she was EA. Cogratulations to her ..we are crossing our fingers for a positive letter .

yea i got one of those early feb letters to. thats what is called an early write, which is usually given out to the top percentage of applicants letter you know in advance that you are definitely admitted. this is usually done with the mindset if you know you got in earlier than the rest of your schools you will have the chance to look more into the school while waiting on other decisions. this is usually in the hopes of having said school, in this case fordham, move up higher on your list, because they r making the assumption that you are such a good applicant they will be more likely to loose you to a more prestigious university.

unfortunately it doesn't directly relate to scholarship money, which is what i have been waiting since the day i found out i was accepted. i keep checking the mail everyday hoping the "official" packet comes so we can finally sit down with all the information and make a decision, but it still has yet to arrive!

Does Fordham have an honors program?

Yes there are honors programs at both Rose Hill and Lincoln Center. There are differences between the programs.

for Rose Hill go here:

Honors Program Curriculum

For Lincoln Center go here:

Honors Program | Fordham College at Lincoln Center

Do the honors students get better dorms (as they do in some other honors programs, like at NEU)?

Also, how do you get into the honors program? Did you have to seperately apply?

I received a letter welcoming me into the Rose Hill honors program...I didn't apply for it, I guess they just select some people. I don't think that there are separate dorms, but there is a "center" for honors students...its a stone building called the "Alpha House" -- there are photos on the website. My friend is in the honors program now, and she says that there isn't much of a difference between the general student experience and an honors student experience

My daughter received an unsolicited invitation to the Lincoln Center Honors Program. Given that there is only one dorm at Lincoln Center, I don't think that program includes better dorms.

Accepted to CBA.

yankee5752, My son got the same letter as you quite some time ago. He still hasn't received his official acceptance packet nor has he received any info regarding merit scholarships. All of his other acceptances and scholarship offers have come in so rather than this letter causing Fordham to bump up on his list, he's had to bump it down because without word of a scholarship offer, there's no way he can go.
