Thank you, swan!

Is there and rhyme or reason to the order in which they send the letters out, or is it completely random?

S received acceptance today to CBA with a deans scholarship.

hello and congratulations to all! I applied EA, and she still haven't heard. I was recently told by my brother, who attends Fordham, that they mail the letters off in separate batches. Do they separate them, by acceptances and denials?

Daughter was accepted today. (Sorry for below. Just copied from the BC site only she was deferred there) No scholarship which was a little surprising based on the criteria on the website.

Ahh hopefully I will get my letter soon- I applied to the Lincoln Center campus for Communications/ Visual Arts. I have literally been waiting outside my mailbox every single day this December! Do you think it is bad though that I haven't gotten anything yet? Light a candle for me please, haha! :)

Zoot, congrats. Surprised she got no scholarship considering her stats.
I didn't get a scholarship from fordham either.

Scholarships are decided on many criteria, not just raw scores. That is according to Dean Farrell who posted here last night. But dont despair, if you need the help, apply for financial aid...you may get a large grant which is really the same thing without the prestige. The bottom line is that it reduces your tuition bill.

Congrats to all who got word of being admitted today! Great news! Welcome to the Fordham Family!

Happily for my NY-loving daughter, full tuition Semifinalist Scholarship at Lincoln Center.

swansong, how does Fordham determine what EA notifications they send out when?

Is it completely random, or do acceptances go out first, etc.?

I dont know exactly. Maybe they mix em up and send em alphabetically maybe they dont. The point is, Dean Farrell said the last batch of 600 went out on Monday. Good luck, ng!

Really good recommendations, special Fordham letter from 2 teacher alums

I'm beginning to suspect I didn't get in.

A few kids in my school received their acceptances last week and I just picked up today's mail and have yet to receive anything at all. Are rejections mailed with the acceptances or is it a second batch type of thing?

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far, I'm not giving up hope yet!

I'm starting to wonder the same thing..unless my letter was in the last batch and is just being slow. Has anyone been deferred or rejected yet? All I've heard is accepted.

I dont know. scarolina, with your stats it seems that you should get a positive result......so dont give up hope yet. Mail can be slow from New York to the south......if you dont hear by tomorrow, then I would call them and ask. They had a school record 7,000 EA applications this year.

I have my fingers crossed for everyone.

Remember, this is the busiest week of the year for mail and coupled with the weather, it must be slow going at the post office. fingers crossed for all~

Well, I got deferred, and I hate to upset all those waiting for letters, but it does seem that people who heard today all got deferred or rejected. But who knows, it could be a fluke and the acceptances are still coming out.
I spent 3 hours feeling like dirt, but now I am strategizing how to get in RD, and am taking another look at my other schools, since Fordham is my first choice. I am optimistic.
Swansong, I cannot say enough about your encouragement and kind words and information. We Fordham applicants are lucky to have you. This is true community and "caring for the whole person" :) I hope you have a wonderful holiday. You have helped me through the last week.

Deferred... it came as a shock because i really thought i was going to get rejected after what I read on here

Do you think that if I go visit it will show interest and could positively add to my file?

I'm in the same boat 1220/1870, but I've yet to receive any notification. I'll just keep thinking positive, it's not the end of the world.
