I’ll try to keep this to short and to the point-I was accepted to SCU and have committed.
My major is in BS Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences. However, the one problem is that I’m unsure whether I can potentially get rescinded because of the following:
- On my application, I told them I would make up/take a semester of Chem Honors, and I didn't. BUT I emailed admissions and I told them about my situation, and they seemingly let it go because I explained that I have been participating and devoting more time to extracurriculars, especially my work with people with special needs (that has to do with my major).
- My grades are pretty bad this semester compared to last semester when I sent in the mid-year report. As in, I'm taking 3 APs and 2 regular classes (but one is like a "honors" class at my school and is a lab science) and I'm a TA for another class....so in total, I may have 3 As, 1 B, and potentially 2 Cs. One of the Cs is pretty low and has a small chance of dropping to a D.....but I will try to talk to my teacher about it since it's the only class I'm really in danger of being rescinded for.
If anybody has had similar experiences or knows how often/when SCU tends to rescind students, please let me know.
Thank you so much!
