<p>Hook: I dunno. Would the fact that I'm an Asian (daughter of immigrants, first to pursue higher education and first to get citizenship) that digs film/TV productions above everything (from producing to directing to anchoring to everything) help? I did edit and help produce a television show for a local channel.</p>

<p>1 yr JV fencing 3 yrs Varsity 2 years Captain, 4 years Newspaper photo editor junior year and layout editor senior, 4 years yearbook photo editor junior year managing editor senior, 4 years science olympiad several medals each year at regionals 1 medal at states senior year captain senior year-science olympiad started 1 year before i joined and it was me and my classmates who really brought it to what it is, attened Columbia Science Honors program senior year, horseback ride weekly. That's pretty much it.</p>
<p>I guess I clearly have no hook, since I didn't make it in the first round.
If only there were men's equestrian though, I could have gone anywhere I wanted.</p>

<p>hook--not sure...i am thinking the gov/politics speaking-related things. my speech&debate topic is related to that kind of thing, same with mock trial and student congress, and i think i want to major in IR/econ. maybe? i don't know what else to go for. basically i am just in love with the social sciences as a whole.</p>
<p>i did ED last year and am entering as a freshmen in the fall (in like 10 days, yay!)</p>

<p>all I can say is apply wherever you want (don't let others decide for you, I know a few people that let that happen and really regret it), and find your passion and really show it to them.</p>
