Accepted as General Biology but is now more interested in Humun Biology

Hi, I have just been accepted to UCSD with my first-choice major-General Biology. But for the past few months after submitting the application, I realized that I am actually more interested in Human Biology.
Is it true that I only need to delcare my major before completing 90 units (<a href="https://students.ucsd.edu/academics/advising/majors-minors/declare-or-change-a-major.html">https://students.ucsd.edu/academics/advising/majors-minors/declare-or-change-a-major.html</a>)? If so, does this mean I don't need to worry about this and can actually graduate as a Human Biology major?

I'm not from the US so I'm very unfamilier with the whole declaring-major process. Any answer or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

You don’t need to worry about it. You can change your major as soon as you get access to Tritonlink and the change major/minor tool, and you can change your major whenever you want, as long as it’s a non-impacted major (which I believe all of the biology majors are now).

@baktrax thank you so much! just wondering, does this work for all of the UCs? I am choosing between several of the UCs and the flexibility to change majors plays quite a big role here so… of course UCSD is my top choice since it has such a good biology program.

Every UC does things differently, so you’re going to have to look up each school specifically.
