<p>got this email today…■■■ so embarrassing considering i thought some of these UCs were matches…</p>

<p>“As a University of California campus committed to educating tomorrow’s leaders, we have made an agreement with the UC Office of the President to expand our enrollment to assure qualified students (those who meet UC eligibility but were not offered admission at a sister campus) a place at the University of California. Therefore, I am pleased to offer you a special opportunity to be considered for freshman admission to the Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 semester at UC Merced, with the condition that you meet a prescribed set of criteria.”</p>

<p>applied to UCSC, UCSB, UCI, UCSD, UCD, & UCLA(yea i know this one was a 2% chance)</p>

<p>rejected to UCSC, UCI, UCSD, UCD, & UCLA</p>

<p>uci even sent me emails about the honors program on sept 1st -.-</p>

<p>wait-listed at UCSB (no one got off wait-list last year)</p>

<p>STATS-
SAT-1980
ACT-29
UC GPA- 3.75
and okay ECs with leadership positions</p>

<p>any body with similar stats rejected from ucsc??? -.-</p>

<p>From what I have been seeing, it has been a very competitive year for the UCs! Your stats are very good, and you should be proud of them.</p>

<p>Don’t write off UC Merced yet. If you are willing to consider it, you might be surprised.</p>
