Accepted Bio/Chem related major

Its hard to find stats from bio or chem majors who got in or not. If you got your decision, I would like to know your stats!

I got into Davis (the only place I applied other then Cal) with a 3.4 GPA from UCR as a biochem/molecular biology gpa.

I’m also interested in hearing other people’s stats. I applied to the bio major with a 3.4. So far I’ve been accepted to UCSC and rejected from UCSB.

What I REALLY want to know is how many of the prereqs everyone has done (chem…bio…physics…etc.). I’ve only done 5/12 of the prereqs for the bio major for UCSD and it has taken me two years to do so. It takes forever!

thanks guys! Yeah like weegotfish said, I also want to know how many of the prereqs (chem/bio/math/physics) you guys got.

weegotfish, which 5 of the 12 did you finish?

UCI (Biology) and UCD (Biotechnology) accepted
3.57 (i know, too low. but it was 3.60 after winter semester, idk if that matters)
DONE with
Biology 1 & 2
Chemistry 1 & 2
Calculus 1 & 2
IP: Bio 3, Ochem 1 and Calc 3

It seems like if you’ve completed all the prereqs, then you’ll be fine as long as your gpa is 3.2 or above.

guitarfrk- I completed general chem 1 and 2, bio 1 and 2 and 3, and I’m taking calclus 1. So I still have to take the 3 physics, ochem, and 2 more calc classes. I still have a LOT more to do!

Oh, I forgot to add that I technically will never be able to finish all of my prerequs (physics, calc, ochem) because I would be way over my unit limit. If I don’t get into UCSD, I’m going to stay at my CC and do the ochem series and finish math. Then I will be at my maximum unit limit, and I’ll just have to hope for the best!
