Accepted! BUt a Question about CIT major selection

Question about CIT major selection

I am so incredibly happy that i got into CIT! (regular decision)
I applied as UNDECIDED, but I plan to do ECE & CE as my major.

HOWEVER

For fun, I looked at my CMU application...
and I saw something that i had not seen before...

In the box where we rank the school and departments of CMU
Under CIT, it states in italics: "If you want to be considered for electrical and computer engineering, you must specify this department"

Since I applied as UNDECIDED.... does this mean that I cannot choose ECE & CE as my major later????

Err, a side question, how do you know you are accepted?

Did you get a letter or find out on line? My son checked this morning and there was no response on his file.

yeah! I applied cit too, and I haven't seen or received anything as of yet.

Call them up and ask. You would get an accurate response a lot quicker.

What were your stats, if you dont mind sharing?

i have a feeling a lot of kids will be calling them up tomorrow.. after your post

indeed.....

I am an international student who applied to CIT in december.
However, I still didn't get my application recepit letter... which means that i couldn't check my application statue online.
So I went through an appeal process, and they told me that i got in.
At first they were very hesistant. I had to wait a long time on the phone, waiting for them to discuss and decide what to do.
Then, they just decided to tell me becuase they had no other choice, since they cant tell me app number by phone or email. Also, It normally takes like a few weeks for a mail to be sent from the states to where i live.

I dont think calling the CMU will help at all... sry

congrats anyways, and thanks for the info.

ahh ok, that would make sense... thanks for telling us! congrats!
