I got accepted into UCSD, and I said in my application that I will be writing the AP Biology Exam. However I just started studying yesterday and I am very confident that I will be ending up with a 1 or 2.
Should I just cancel my AP score and write a reason to the university why I did not send the mark? Or should I just let my mark be sent to the university?

I'm just not sure if this lousy Biology Exam score will withdraw me from my accepted status.

I know, I know. I should have started studying 3 months ago. But I was busy with Chem and other APs...

Actually I found that I picked up the topics pretty easily for the past 3 hours. Thank goodness. I hope I take at least a 3 :)

But if you guys do know. Please post for others also!

No one gets their admission revoked over poor AP scores, so don’t even worry about that. The only correlation between AP scores and revoked admissions is if you lied about your scores, which does not appear to be the case.

Also, as someone who took the AP Bio exam, I think you’re freaking out right now because you haven’t prepared at all but the exam really isn’t bad. I remember feeling pretty crappy after I took it because I didn’t study at all and I still ended up with a 5 (yay!) so I think you’ll be fine. I can’t imagine how someone who did well in the class would end up with a 1 or 2 unless your teacher really just didn’t do his/her job right. So if you’ve done fine in the class, I think you’ll get at least a passing score. Good luck!

You score on the exam won’t change your admission. You’re only hurting yourself if you don’t take the test because if you would have passed it, you’re missing on the units you could have received. Not taking it does you nothing.
