Accepted but have to REAPPLY!

Hello,

So here's my situation guys. I'm an international student who got into Cornell last year. Sadly, their lack of funding for us meant that I could not enrol. Since I have always aspired to attend college in the US I took a gap-year (bolstered my application material) and aim to apply again.

Now, I'll come to the question. I have to decide which university/college to apply during the early session. Please give me your advice on the following options

a) apply early to Cornell again and hope to get aid (if it is first come first serve then may be more funding will be available at this stage)
b) apply early to Brown because I did not apply there last year, so I will not have a rejection weighing me down.
c) apply to Yale SCEA AND Swarthmore ED 2, so I can be appying at multipe places. Pleas note that I have been rejected from both last year and realise this option can be a far-reach.
d) apply to Amherst where I got waitlisted last year.

Thank you in advance for any replies.
Regards.

It is not a ‘first come, first serve’ principle. Financial aid for internationals (I believe less than ~50 internationals are actually awarded aid annually) is based on financial need, academic strength, geography and personal qualities (quote from a previous fin aid decision). Unless you significantly bolstered your application, I don’t see you getting any more financial year, if you get accepted. Applying early decision therefore most likely will NOT help you get more financial aid.

Same case with Brown.

Of your list, Only Yale and Amherst meet full need for admitted international students and i am not sure about Swarthmore.
