Accepted, but not about to...

I'm going to apply to 4 schools now, and chances are that at least one will accept me as a transfer student.

What if I can't start studying full-time next fall, but instead will need to wait for at least 1 semester or 1 whole year? Will I lose the spot in the school?

I feel that I'm academicaly in a good standing to apply now, but my financial/family situation might prevent me from finally becoming a full-time student. How's it gonna be? :)

once you get accepted, you'll have to ask whether or not you can defer enrollement for a semester or two...you might want to call the admissions office NOW and ask if they have a policy against deferring enrollment for transfers, because if they do, then you're wasting your time and your money on applying if you know you cant enroll during that semester

shoe is right

Thanks people!

The thing I'd like to do is, IF I get accepted:
-to sign up to the school
-in fall 2006 take 1 online class and pay whatever x thousand dollars I need to do for that
-start taking classes fulltime from spring 2008

Is this possible?

most schools require you to take 12 hours to be a fulltime student...one class wont fulfill that

again, you need to CALL or EMAIL them...this is a sticky situation that depends from university to university, and probably year to year
