Accepted, but now I'm considering dropping a class.

I was accepted to a state school in NC for the upcoming spring semester. I'm very excited!

This semester I took a few classes for my pre-major (business), and a science class that I thought I needed. I have kept a 4.0 GPA all through community college.

This semester has been a bit hectic with personal issues. However, I have strong A's in the business classes (all 98+), and a low A in the science class (90 in the class, 93 in the lab). All of these are online courses, as my current school is about 45 mins away. I only drive up there for tests.

At the rate I'm going, I'm pretty sure the science class will be my first B (or C, if I do poorly on the final) if I don't drop it. The instructor has miss graded me a few times, and hasn't shown much attempt to help me when I ask for help in my homework notes. It's one of those classes that still has due dates from 2011 written in the assignments - the typical self taught online class.

I'm usually very good at self teaching, but science is difficult for me online. I had the same problem with physics and dropped it. I think I would do much better in a classroom setting for science requirements.

After reviewing my transferred credits, I've learned that this class will be an elective that is not part of the general education requirements for the school.

I'm very, very tempted to drop it, but I don't want to mess up my acceptance to my new school.

I’d keep it. You are a business major, not pre-med. A ‘B’ or ‘C’ on your transcript is completely irrelevant, honestly.

.

Where did you get accepted to? App. State? NC State? UNC?
