accepted, but still no financial aid?

really? i filled everything out and sent everything available i think

not sure~ maybe i am wrong XD

any news yet?

i just filed my dependent and tax returns yesterday

2 weeks already for me…

hows it ? anyone else hear from UCLA yet

nope over 2 weeks

hm anyone else? did anyone try to call? im gona start calling all my schools next week ~

I emailed them and they said they will be sending out financial award notifications in June. (Even though Berkeley has already sent me my financial award notification!)
All I have done regarding financial aid is submit my FAFSA. UCLA hasn’t asked me to do anything else… so I have never sent in my tax returns nor the dependent verification form. For document tracking status, it says “Complete.” Is everyone supposed to send in the dependent verification forms or do they select a certain number of people to send in the forms?

june? lol? You’re joking me right? What if people accept admission and find out that they have 40k in loans, per year?

JUNE?!!
i’m gonna call them soon.

I know, right?! But that’s what the email from UCLA’s financial aid office said. No joke!

I’m guessing maybe they want us to accept/decline admission based on their estimates in the provisional award letter? Idk… do tell if you hear anything else!

EDIT:

Ok yeah, the eFAN (financial aid notification) doesn’t come out until at least May 1st after you submit your SIR. So I’m assuming you base your decision on the estimates in the ePAL (provisional award letter)

Does anyone know if UCLA has a “UCLA Grant?” If yes, what is normal range of the Grant?
Thanks.

yeah the UCLA grant, if there is one, would give us a good estimate of what we would be getting…
Id use my UCSD financial aid info as a basis

this kinda… really… sucks.

Check this out: http://www.fao.ucla.edu/Forms/pdfs/0910</a> ePAL Guide.pdf
There’s only 4 types of grant: CAL, Pell, ACG (calculated later), and the University fee grant (which is $313)
So I don’t think there’s a “UCLA grant.”

I think its call University Grant"or University of California grant. I was asking because UCI had a UC Irvine Grant; therefore, I was wondering if UCLA had the same thing.

Thnx for the link.

Oh, btw…found out what I was looking for.

Is it just me that in my Epal, it says that im still missing my FAFSA? i filed it long ago…

i called: 1 week .
woot!

Ren the SAT’er, mine said that also. I called the office & my FAFSA has been received. He also told me my financial aid package over the phone so I didn’t have to wait til May to see it. AHAH. :D

oh man, yesterday i called in, i realized i had made the dumbest mistake in my life… my SSN was off by 1 digit. HA! I really dont know hwo that happened; i thought i double checked. Good thing that the office was really quick, they changed my SSN in like 1 day… so now i’ll contact FA office and hopefully the aid will arrive before may 1. hehe
